Keep your private conversations private with the Audio Jammer! The Telephone Audio Jammer protects your sensitive room conversations by generating a random masking sound or white noise which desensitizes any near-by microphones.

With the The White Noise Audio Jammer, you never know when someone else is listening. If there is a hidden bug in the room, the Telephone Audio Jammer will make it difficult to hear you.

The white noise it creates is effective against any microphone based eavesdropping device including tape recorders, RF transmitters, hard-wired microphones (including contact type) and shotgun microphones. It also protects against microwave or laser reflection pickups.

Because the sound from the White Noise Audio Jammer varies randomly in frequency and amplitude, it cannot be easily filtered and the only sound the eavesdropper will hear is the jammer noise.

You turn up the white noise on the Audio Jammer until it is louder than your conversation; then you talk under the white noise, and no recording devices will hear you.

The convenient end-mounted control lets you select the level of protection for your situation. One unit will protect up to 150 sq. ft. For protecting rooms larger than this, we recommend and additional jammer for each 150 sq. ft. of area.

The illustrated instructions show suggested jammer placement for different types of rooms and situations so that you can use the AJ-34 effectively. The AJ-34 is powered by one 9 volt alkaline battery (included). The unit measures 4" x 2.5" x 1.5" and weighs 7 oz.

    The AJ 34 audio Jammer by Capri Electronics LLP is basically a white noise generator, which creates a sound that varies randomly in frequency and amplitude across the range of human voice frequencies.

    I have tested it with several different devices and microphones, and I believe it is very effective against all acoustic means of eavesdropping, including the human ear, provided the conversation is kept at a lower level than the sound from the jammer. The nature of the sound is such that it is very difficult or impossible to filter out.

    For those who require absolute assurance they are not being monitored while talking about sensitive matters, as well as the the uber-paranoid, this is good news.

    Here is it's drawback: The sound it produces is similar to the noise put out by your TV when it is tuned to an empty channel. It is an annoying hiss. Further, the acoustic jammer is effective against the human ear too, so the tendency will be to increase your speaking volume level to be heared over the white noise. This defeats the purpose, so the temptation must be resisted.

    However, for short conversations of a sensitive nature it is an effective last ditch effort, most effective when combined with other TSCM efforts.

    Another potential use is if you live in a noisy complex. The white noise generator can also be used to mask the neighbors arguments and music, so you might be able to sleep better.
