Just plug the DVR Spy Pen into your USB port of a PC and instantly view the video. How simple can they make it?
It works on a PC and my Mac. Charge the spy pen for 3 hours & you can start recording. When you are done, hook it up with the cable, or directly into a USB port, and drag the videos to the desktop and you are ready to view.
You can only view in VLC Media player, or KM Player, which you can download: you need that free program to view the movies.
Some people say they can't play the movies in VLC Media player, so try this free program for the PC: 3GP Player 2008
In order to use the DVR spy pen, you will need to charge the digital video spy pen 3 hours, then it's ready to use. Press the top button lightly, and you will see the yellow light on the back side light up. The DVR pen is on & ready for action.

Change Time and date.

Write in Wordpad the date and time, for example 2011-05-14 13:47:00 and save te file with the name time on the memorycard in the pen (not in a rec map, just directy on the card). Be sure there are no pictures or video´s on the card. Eject the drive (pen) and it will automatically update to that time & date & automatically update itself. That´s it.

I'm not computer illiterate but i'm not sure where to put the time.txt so it will fix ot on the camera. If anyone can tell me how please email me the directions at po_pickens@yahoo.com

Cant use as a spypen because...

Agree with everyone here, sound and video quality is good however you cant really use it to spy because of the super bright blue light it emits when recording, it is so obvious that it is not a pen when you see the light....If you could only use it without the light then it would be a real spypen..!#

however the little CD is in japanes or something and need english version
can i download it anywhere please
also need to set date & time

I used this product and it´s very interesting, little, relatively economic and util.
it´s normal quality for this type of resolution but it´s good for many situation.Record the date and time on upper left square, but i don´t know how to change it, if anyone know please email me at aso_70@hotmail.com

I ordered the Pen DVR and after receiving it I tried it right out of the box naturally without reading the instructions and had great video. Played on my computers Real player very well. I was very surprised at the video quality of the unit for it's size it does a great job, audio is good. The unit also gives you a time date stamp which would be needed for evidence or court hearings. I was involved in surveillances professionally for over 25 years and have been away from it for a while. For the money this item is hard to beat.
