The Smart Scouter is a Motion Activated PIR Night vision Camera. PIR means passive Infrared, which senses changes in temperature, not motion, allowing the camera to only record when humans or large animals come in front of it. No more false alarms by tree branches or tumbleweeds.
The SmartScouter Brown camera is different than the covert Black Opps camera. It has a wider field of view, and the two side sensors detect body heat, they wake the camera up from sleep mode. Only when the center sensor detects heat will it start recording.
The SmartScouter is fully self contained, and weatherproof. With 50 semi invisible, 850 nanometer Infrareds, it can see up to 60 feet during the day and up to 40 feet at night.
Now you can watch what's going on over the Internet or smart phone, and when you see your target, animal or human, you can swoop in and get your target!
All you need is a monthly service on Sprint, Verizon/Alltel, or AT&T depending on where there is coverage. The SmartScouter sends the pictures over their networks, and roaming partners. Requires optional CF Flash, does not include CF Flash card.
Plans start @ $14.99 per month, and you can add up to 20 additional camras for $7.99 per month.
The SmartScouter is a digital hunting or scouting camera that uses the USA mobile phone network to send your image wirelessly to the Smart Scouter web site for you to view anywhere in the world. An optional memory card allows you to retrieve your for a non-wireless use. No additional cell phones or modem attachments are required. The Smart Scouter is a self-contained device ready for use in the field.
Infrared Flash:
The Smart Scouter has 50 infrared flash bulbs that are completely undetectable and invisible to you or animals, which eliminates the risk of the camera being discovered, or "spooking" your target with traditional "red" infrareds, or "white light" flash bulbs. The 50 powerful LED's, combined with a low light night vision camera, gives you excellent quality images, no matter if its day or night, up to 60 feet in the dark!
Motion Sensors:
The Smart Scouter has three Smart Passive Infrared Sensors (PIR) that allow for the trail camera to sleep and save energy. When the PIR sensors are triggered, the camera awakes immediately, and is all set to start taking pictures. PIR technology senses changes in temperature, not motion, so even the presence of game animals will trigger the device, while general motion like trees or branches moving won’t set the camera off.
Camera:
The Smart Scouter is a self-contained, 1.3 megapixel trail camera that records high quality images day and night, and gives you the ability to select high or low resolution, so you can control the picture quality and image size.
Laser Guide:
The internal laser on the Smartscouter has an aim point that is used during set up to ensure camera is pointing at desired spot.
Control Panel:
You can manage multiple Smart Scouter cameras in the field via the camera's control panel, or the SmartScouter web site. The control panel will allow you to check your battery level, wireless strength, and picture count. You can also modify your settings for picture delay, camera resolution, dial-up frequency, and others. In addition, the optional Compact Flash (CF) card allows you to retrieve pictures in the field or in areas where you do not get an adequate cell signal.
Battery Power:
The Smart Scouter has a 6V long-lasting rechargeable battery, that will last about 4-6 weeks, depending on how often you are taking pictures. You can purchase the optional external power supply (6V 42ah battery) for extended use in the field up to 2-3 months, and up to 3-4 months with both batteries.

Disclaimer: Coverage maps are estimates only. Coverage isn't available everywhere. Estimating wireless coverage and signal strength is not an exact science. The coverage maps provided are directional only and change all the time. Maps are always updated and outdated as carriers build new towers and update their roaming agreement with other carriers.

No additional cell phones or modem attachments are required, making the Smart Scouter a completely self-contained unit ready to use in the field.
