The SleuthGear iTrail GPS Logger is a tiny GPS logger that will record the travel paths of a human, animal, or vehicle after the fact, using Google maps, on your computer.

The SleuthGear iTrail GPS Logger is a passive GPS logger, meaning it does not track in real-time. A GPS logger is used after the fact, and the SleuthGear iTrail GPS logger is perfect for seeing where a vehicle has been for a day or a week, and you don't have to pay a monthly fee.

You will need to acquire the SleuthGear iTrail GPS logger from the vehicle when you want to look at it. The built in battery lasts for 30 hours, and will record up to 120 hours before you have to upload to your computer.

If you are running Windows 7, you need to install it as an administrator. If you are not logged in as an administrator, log out and log in as the administrator.

Also, the iTrail will not work if surrounded by metal, like the trunk of a car. It will work in the weatherproof case, under the vehicle. You might have to move it to different locations on the undercarriage of the vehicle if you are having problems finding the GPS signal.

You must hook the SleuthGear iTrail GPS Logger to a computer to see the results, it won't show them in real-time, unlike a GPS Tracker, which requires either a montly subscription, like a mobile phone, or a pay for view service, to view the location of the vehicle over the internet.
