    Here is how you get flawless performance out of this thing.
    Tape "vibrate" switch to its OFF position.
    and...
    MAKE SURE you have the phone set to its spy mode and the backlight to turn off quickly.
    If you have this thing record in the non-spy mode the screen will turn on and overheat something in the unit and it will kill your audio. (and drain your battery too quickly)

    Always use a freshly charged battery, especially if you are going to be recording for longer than an hour.

    This is my favorite recording unit these days. Its easy to pretend you are sending a text when really you are making sure you are getting the shot, or just making sure it is still recording. Also, as it looks exactly like a real cell phone it is easy to hold in your hand and point at the things you need to capture very discreetly. Plus the video quality and audio quality are really quite good.

    As long as you follow this advice the unit will perform great for you and I highly recommend it.

    I bought this same model from another store. When it works it works really well. Image is really good, the sound is good and it looks exactly like a real cell phone.

    On the minus side, Its kind of ... picky.
    Make sure you record with the spy mode on and the monitor to turn off at its lowest time setting.

    A couple of times the recording had this loud buzzing sound that made the audio junk.
    Also, as it records it breaks long recording sessions into multiple AVI files. At each break you will loose about a second of audio and video.

    Also, I would make absolutely certain that you are using a freshly charged battery. The battery meter will show that you have a full charge when you really do not. If your recording sessions are longer it will be a problem if you use a partially charged battery.

    I have used it on 21 "recording sessions" and each were 45min to 1.5 hours. It worked perfectly on 18 of them. My problem sessions were earlier though. I have not had problems with the last 10 or so.

Do not buy any infrared illuminator if your camera is not an IR camera. It has to have a removable IR cut filter that slides out of the way for the camera to recognize the IR.
