The Compact 4 Camera Vehicle DVR With 4 Camera Kit uses H.264 compression, 3G, and GPS is a compact 4 camera mobile DVR kit that includes 4 low light cameras, cables, and lock box.
The Compact 4 Camera Vehicle DVR With 4 Camera Kit offers full D1 (720 x 480) resolution at 25 frames per second for 1 channel, 3 channels 3CIF (616x448). It has many features more expensive DVR's have like 6 alarm inputs and H.264 compression.
The cameras are ideal for inside the car, as they don't have IR to white out the video, and you can stick them right to the glass or anywhere you want using the adhesive strip.
If you add a GSM SIM Card, you can watch the video on a web browser, though you will need at least a 1GB plan, as a good rule of thumb is 300 mb for one hour of video. 5 hours is 1.5GB per camera. 1GB will give you 3 hours for 4 cameras, 6 hours for 2 cameras, and 12 hours for 1 camera.
The cameras are 480 line analog, weatherproof IP67 that do not have any IR Infrared. However, they are low light mobile cameras with 0.1 LUX, and have a 90 degree viewing angle, which allows you to point them out your car windows with no fear of the IR reflecting off the window, causing a huge white area in your shot. One out each window will cover 360 degrees around your car.
You can position the cameras under the side mirrors, or the back, though you risk the chance they can be pulled off by vandals.
The Compact 4 Camera Vehicle DVR With 4 Camera Kit accepts up to 64 GB SD card, and has standard Mini DIN connections so you can use any similar cameras. Here is a screen shot of the playback of the video we were sent with the optional GPS logger function to the right that shows where they are at that time.
This 4 camera mobile DVR kit ships from China for $65 per kit and takes up 2-3 weeks to arrive.
It compresses the video with H.264 compression for very small files, and records audio also. Measures 5.31 x 4.92 x 1.18 inches.

Here is how you can hook it to a car or motorcycle battery and to put in the trunk to power it so it won't drain your car battery. Just get a marine, car, or motorcycle battery at the auto parts store. You can get a plastic, covered box to protect your trunk, a set of eyelet hooks, and crimp them with plyers on the red & black wires. You also need to splice in the yellow wire as shows, because its only needed if you hook it to the ignition to start it.
We suggest this method, vs connecting to your car battery as if you don't drive it enough each day, and you use it each day, it could drain it in a couple weeks.
You will have to use the remote control to turn on the DVR, and hit record & make sure the record light is on if you are using it while the vehicle is stopped. Call us with any questions to help setting it up.
