There is a cable coming out the left rear frame, as its the cable for the camera. The camera is at the front tip of the left frame. If you get one of those glasses straps no one will notice.

Do not buy any infrared illuminator if your camera is not an IR camera. It has to have a removable IR cut filter that slides out of the way for the camera to recognize the IR.
