The AXIS 243Q Blade Video Server transforms your CCTV analog video into high quality digital images.
The AXIS 243Q Blade Video Server connects directly to an Ethernet network, and is a cost-efficient alternative that provides high quality video from analog video sources at 6/5 frames per second per channel.
Full frame rate in MPEG-4 or Motion JPEG in all resolutions
The AXIS 243Q Blade Video Server enables high resolution, full frame rate video surveillance and remote monitoring in MPEG-4 or Motion JPEG on all four channels. The video server converts analog video into high quality, de-interlaced digital video, and can deliver the highest resolution, 4CIF, at 30/25 (NTSC/PAL) frames per second.
The high-performance AXIS 243Q Blade is designed for professional IP-Surveillance systems, providing video from all cameras simultaneously. It is ideal as an integrated part of a large security system. Network utilization is optimized with functions such as built-in video motion detection and multiple compression levels. Powerful event management based on triggered or scheduled events adds value for the demanding customer.
The AXIS 291 1U Video Server Rack is a 19'' rack that can use any combination of up to 3 interchangeable and hot-swappable Axis blade video servers. The Axis video server rack solution migrates 4-12 analog cameras to IP-based, digital video streams using a single Ethernet port. The combination of AXIS 243Q Blades together with the AXIS 291 1U thus makes a higher density of video channels compared to a standalone solution.Axis video servers represent a cost-effective single box solution for transmitting digital video over intranet networks, or the Internet.

Do not buy any infrared illuminator if your camera is not an IR camera. It has to have a removable IR-Cut filter that slides out of the way at night for the camera to recognize the IR.
