The 2.4 GHz Digital Wireless Camera Set is the next generation in easy to set up & use wireless cameras that eliminated the interference problems usually found with standard wireless cameras. Works with a PC, or TV/VCR for an inexpensive home or small business security system.

The 2.4 GHz Digital Wireless Camera Set uses spread spectrum frequency hopping, and a digital transmission to eliminate interference in most cases. This way you can set it up to 800 feet from the receiver, 1,600 feet with an optional high gain antenna and protect your home or business from vandals or thieves.

The wireless IR outdoor camera has 24 infrared's that can see up to 25 feet in the darkness, and f3.6 lens that will give you a good shot of your property. They do glow light red at night. It's rated IP-44, which means it can handle light things thrown at it like screws & nuts, and can not be damaged by splashing water.

IP means Ingress Protection, or International Protection Rating. The first digit means what level of protection it offers, and the second means what level of protection it offers against the ingress or inflow of water. IP44 is a good consumer level camera that will withstand most rain storms. So it's a good outdoor camera, as long as you don't live in a hurricane zone.

The recevier is a combination USB/A/V type that can either be plugged into a PC, or run to a TV/VCR. The base can receive up to 4 cameras, and it has a quad feature, so you can show all 4 in a split screen. We don't know if it allows remote Internet access, and montion activation.

What we like about the receiver is that unlike the VersaCam live view, which will only show one camera ever 3.5 seconds, the 2.4 GHz Digital Wireless Camera Set claims to allow you to show all four images, for a split screen view so you can see each camera at the same time.
