On the new SG-31 model Camball, they have improved motion detection, and it's easier to go to motion detection mode. This info is found in the manual included on the CD.

You can either use the Cam Ball on it's own with internal battery, or purchase the Surveillance pack, and you can connect it to a wall outlet to bypass the internal battery, or use the included USB adapter to power from your PC*.

Turn the CamBall on and let it go through it's warm-up tests. Press and hold the [◀] button for 2 seconds from Standby Mode to select the Surveillance Recording (TYPE Lamp Red) and then press and hold the [▲] record button for 2 seconds. This will turn on the REC lamp and start Surveillance Recording.  Set it down and let it do it's thing.

You can make sure the motion detection is working by setting it in a dark closet or room for 2-3 hours. CamBall will record a test every hour, for a minute or so to let you know it's working and there is no motion. If there is a recording every hour, it's working fine. Somethings that will trigger motion are curtains, and changes in the sun, such as it coming out behind a cloud.

Position Camball pointing North for best results & contact us with the contact form to ask any other questions, or visit the EyeSpyPro Spy & Surveillance forum!

*Please note a standard USB to 110 plug will not bypass the Camballs internal battery, and you have to use the USB adapter to run off the PC, as it won't record if you plug it in by the standard cable.
