    Security DVR to Internet?

    August 25th, 2009
    fuze asked:

Trying to connect a security camera DVR to the internet.

I’m a bit confused. I’ve entered my IP, Subnet mask and Gateway as it appears in my router configuration (and the data sheet provided by the ISP). This is not working.

My actual IP appears to be different when looking at “Find my IP” sites online (172.16.**.** vs 24.155.***.** ) Could this be a problem?

I know my question isn’t clear, but it’s a bit much to type.

    Thanks

I’m curious about those spy cameras hidden in books, clocks, etc… If you have used these before, can you tell me how it works? Do you record and then just plug into your TV to watch later? Please give me as much info as possible.

    Punks Messing With Your Ride???

    August 20th, 2009

We had yet another call today from a man who’s wife met up somehow with a jerk who is now keying her Surburban and pouring soda on it, which messes up the paint. He’s done it a couple of times times & this guy has to take time out of his day to file Police reports.

And, he’s worried the jerk will get his car. So we were talking about a new product we mentioned last month, the Rear View Mirror Vehicle Surveillance System With Two Cameras And DVR that clips onto your rear view mirror to help catch punks that want to damage your car or truck.

Well we found out that the 2nd camera that comes with it is wired & wireless. It’s got a tiny transmitter inside that will send the signal to the Mirror DVR, which has a receiver inside of it. With the push of a button, it will show either the front camera, which hangs off the lower right corner & rotates 330 degrees, or the completely moveable 2nd camera with built in IR’s for night recording.

Just move the 2nd camera to the dash, rear deck, next to the head rest, or wherever you want. Just run the power wire to any 12v source and it’s always on. You might want to take it to a car stereo shop, and have them install an inline on/off switch, so you can turn it off when you are not using it.

It also works great to record road rage. Just swivel that little camera over at the idiot next to you to capture anythign on video.

And we also told you about the Dual Camera Vehicle Blackbox GPS Logger a really neat GPS Logger based device that has two cameras, and can record both front & rear views at the same time. We will go put up some videos of the camera for you in just a few minutes.

Either way, if some punk is messing with your ride, and you are are tired of damage to your car, or want to set up something now, before a vandal strikes, you can get more info on the Rear View Mirror Vehicle Surveillance System With Two Cameras And DVR here, or the Dual Camera Vehicle Blackbox GPS Logger With G Sensor Recorder And Audio.

The 32GB Updated PI Camstick Micro DVR Camcorder

    August 13th, 2009

We just put up a new video on the Updated PI CamStick Personal Interview Recorder, which is one of our best selling spy gadgets.

If you need a small camcorder for video surveillance or stake-outs, this one is about the size of your pinky, and now can take up to 32GB Micro SD cards. The problem is that the battery only lasts for about 2GB worth of data, so to fill up the card, you have to let it recharge for 3 hours and record more video. And those cards are extremely expensive, as much as the camera, so for now, we will let you order 2-4-8 or 16GB.

The packaging is also different, and we show you how to use it on a new YouTube video here:

Visit EyeSpyPro.com more information on the Updated PI CamStick Personal Interview Recorder.

The Diasonic Law Enforcement Grade H.264 Micro DVR And Button Camera Kit Helps Bust A Punk

    August 11th, 2009

If you are in law enforcement, private investigations, making movies, or just enjoy the latest gadgets, and you need to record evidence or discrete video, the Law Enforcement Grade H.264 Micro DVR And Button Camera Kit delivers. This is a robust flash memory pocket DVR that comes with a button/screw camera and built in microphone.

We spent some time with the new Diasonic pocket DVR, and came away very impressed. We already know about their excellent quality digital audio recorder, the Diasonic 5300, and when we heard they were coming out with a pocket DVR, I almost choked on the cricket I was eating…

This compact DVR can operate in your pocket, or an indoor stake-out out. It has a built in battery, so you don’t have to worry about loosing it. The DVR appears to take any mini wired camera that has a 3 ring mini-jack connector. It comes with a ton of accessories and cables.

We posted a Jewish dozen video clips on the product page for you to download, and we figured out how to put covert and post flash videos, so we plan on having at least one on each product page.

There are also many pictures posted, so if this kind of stuff is what you are looking for, check out the Diasonic Law Enforcement Grade H.264 Micro DVR And Button Camera Kit.

The Updated CamBall Mini Video Recorder Has Improved Motion Detection

    August 6th, 2009

We just received the latest version of the SecureShot Micro Eyes SD Card Recording Ball Camera CamBall, and it appears the motion detection finally works! Before the motion detection would trip at the slightst variance in brightness or darkness, and not work sometimes when a human walked by.

Now with improved circuitry, the CamBall’s motion detection works much better, and appears to make one file of just motion activation, instead of dozens of short files. We are testing the motion activation now and it’s a long cumbersome job.

Lucikly I like to just sit and hang out on this branch snatching crickets with my tongue, so I can wait for the tests to finish.

If you can’t, you want to check out all the changes to the Camball.

Now there are two models, SC-30 & @C-31. The big difference is that the SC-30 is geared to the action sports or youth market as a lower priced option that does not include the motion detection or audio detection. So you can’t use it for motion activated surveillance, though you can record continuous video surveillance.

They added quite a few accessories like a 2GB SD card, that can be upgraded to 8GB, a really slick holder to keep the Cam Ball from rolling away, and a sports band that connects to the CamBall holder, so you can strap it on your arm or leg while you skateboard or go for a run. It’s also got a USB thingy that will allow you to record while plugged into the computers USB port to power it, so it will record until the video is full.

Both versions now play MP3 files so you can load up your music and listen to it with the included earbuds. There are also three other accessory packs, the Vehicle Pack for recording your driving, or setting up to watch your car from Vandalism. With the optional Sports Pack accessory kit, you get a waterproof holder and a handlebar holder, allowing unlimited uses for the CamBall.

The Surveillance Pack gives you a 110V adapter and cable so you can record indoors using electricity to power the device instead of the internal battery that only gives about 80-90 minutes. And later this year, there will be a LCD screen option that you can view the video directly from the CamBall.

Also, you can upload videos directly to YouTube with CamBall. For more info on the neat changes and photo’s, visit the SecureShot Micro Eyes SD Card Recording Ball Camera CamBall home page. We will work on videos this weekend.

Know a lot about Security Systems? Please read & tell me which you think is best for recording?

    August 1st, 2009
    Me in TN asked:

I basically need a “nanny cam” to record (motion activated) activity in my bedroom, when I’m not home. Things are getting stolen. It has to be not noticeable. I’ve been looking into it. Is it better (as far the recording of the action) to get a USB DVR (just plugs into PC), a portable DVR or a DVR PCI Card? I can’t have one that plugs into my VCR for 1) I record shows while I’m @ work & 2), it would be noticeable if my VCR cut on when someone walked into the room. There are so many options. Is it better to get it separate or something that already has everything needed? I need a pinhole or covert camera that motion activated & can record on something other than my VCR. Color & audio would be a plus, but not necessary. I’ve reasearched till my head hurts, but I’m still no expert & want to make the right decision. Thanks!

Numero Uno is for people who are sick of punks messin with their ride. Set up this baby and either plug it in the lighter, or hardwire it directly to the fuse box and you can record out the front of the vehicle and inside the vehicle. Position it wherever you want to view out the vehicle, and the backside will film through the vehicle out the other side.

Numero Dos is for people who like to record their vacations or daily trips. You can see where you have been on the entire trip, including where you went, how long you stayed, your average speed, if you were accelerating, decelerating, or if you hit some bumps in the road. It’s got a built in G-Sensor, whatever the heck that is, that will let you know when the road is rough.

Numero Tres is for fleet management and watching your drivers & vehicles. You can track if they are going to the local bar or anywhere else they should not be. Track if they are speeding or giving it the gas, or braking too hard. It’s easy to see their habits and to identify problem drivers.

What’s not to like about the worlds first Dual Camera Vehicle Blackbox GPS Logger With G Sensor Recorder And Audio?

Who can use one of these?

The Yard Guard Mail Box Hidden Camera DVR Delivers The Goods

    July 29th, 2009

We get call after call from people looking for a way to watch the front of their home for vandals. Seems there is no shortage of street punks out there with nothing better to do than destroy someone’s flowers or vegetables. Their sole purpose in life is to be a thorn in someone’s side by bothering them, coming on to their property, and stealing or destroying YOUR stuff!

Well you can put a stop to it with the Yard Guard Mail Box Hidden Camera DVR. Inside this innocent looking mail box is a hidden camera, SD card recording DVR, heat activated motion sensor, and long life, rechargeable lithium-ion battery.

SecureShot Yard Guard Mail Box Hidden Camera DVR
SecureShot Yard Guard Mail Box Hidden Camera DVR

Set up the mail box hidden video camera anywhere you want to watch, and arm it with the remote control. The battery will keep it up to one year on stand-by, and you can get 26 hours of video, enough for a night.

The built in motion sensor is head activated, so blowing tree limbs or other non-heat producing objects won’t give a false alarm; however, it will automatically start recording when a punk wonders in front of it.

Charge the battery or quick swap an optional 2nd battery and you are back up & running quickly. SD cards pop out to view on the PC or Mac with VLC media player. Or plug the unit into a TV or monitor/VCR to view or record the old school way.

FYI, these battery powered, 1 cameras outdoor surveillance system makes a great back-ups to your current video surveillance system because if they cut the power to the house, and you don’t have a back-up generator that kicks in, your expensive camera system will not catch anything. Also, if they take the DVR that is recording, you won’t have anything, so it really makes sense to have a battery powered back up surveillance system for a back-up.

If you are having problems with punks gone wild, have nosey neighbors, or just want to be proactive and have something set up to record vandalism or theft before it happens, find out more info on the yard guard mail box hidden camera with DVR here.
