In Great Britain, cities began installing Video surveillance systems in public ares in the 1970′s. Police departments claim that these cameras help them do their jobs more efficiently. Opponents of the cameras say that police department are creating a society that severely compromises the right of personal privacy. How do you feel about the issue? Assume the police department in your area proposing to install cameras in your city.

These are only opinions, but here goes:
The state should be required to educate the children of illegal immigrants, as these children did not, themselves, deliberately break the law, and they are part of the future of the country.
With the modern threat of terrorism, it seems logical to permit the government to use cameras in public places. If there is a concern regarding personal privacy, access to viewing the video tapes could be dependent on the acquisition of a court order.

Only because I believe they should. Every child, even illegal immigrant’s children, deserve to get a proper education. There is so many things in this world that revolve around having a proper education, and no child should never have that education. Remember the ‘NO CHILD GETS LEFT BEHIND’ slogan? Well, that applies to immigration children also, i beleive.

First I’ll start with the video camera’s in Great Britain. I am from there, but now live in the USA, but for 7 years I drove on British roads.
My view, they can be a pain at times, but I do see the need for them.
The only problem I have, is that there are speed camera’s EVERYWHERE. If you go like 5 miles over, then the camera will flash and you get a ticket in the mail. I think this is a little crazy and seems like it’s really for revenue generation.
However, having surveillance cameras in cities and on main roads is good. It can help traffic police know where there is a traffic accident. It can record how the accident happened, which can mean that police do not need to spend as much time or money figuring out what happened and therefore can clear the roadway quicker because everything had been recorded.
Also here is a quick true story that happened to a friend of mine.
His car was stolen from his home late at night. He work up not long after it was stolen and told the police the make, color and license number. The police spotted it on the freeway miles from his house and send police after it. After a chase they caught the guys and found out they were a car stealing gang. They found my friends stolen phone as well that was in the car and traced the numbers the crooks used on it and in the end arrested 15 people and brought down the whole car stealing gang. This would never have happened, if the police did not have cameras on the freeway.
So generally I think it is a good idea.

The whole point is here that they are illegal. So why should they get anything from tax payers? They should be deported immediately I think.
I know lots will not agree, but I am an immigrant to the US – a legal one. Why should they get away with things when I went through tons of paperwork, laws etc to have that right?
