How Visible Is The Night Vision Illuminators On The Yard Guard Fake Rock Hidden Camera With DVR And PIR Motion Sensor?

    Wednesday, May 15th, 2013

Someone just asked us a great question: “How visible are the night vision infrared Illuminators on the Yard Guard Fake Rock Hidden Camera With DVR And PIR Motion Sensor?”

We have tested the our fake rock hidden camera at night, and unless you are right in front of it, within an arms length, you won’t see diddly squat.

If you are right up on it, looking at it, it glows very slightly red, hardly noticeable. However, who is going to get on hands and knees and look at an innocent rock???

Yard Guard Fake Rock Hidden Camera With DVR And PIR Motion Sensor

And that’s the way all of our SecureShot battery powered hidden camera with DVR work; we use high frequency 940NM Illuminators that are for the most part, invisible unless you are within inches. We take one of those speaker rocks you see by a pool, bondo over the hole, and spray it a granite appearance. If you live where there is no granite, just get some local mud and slather it all over this puppy, just don’t cover the camera or IR’s!!!

If you need the very best covert hidden cameras that record to memory cards, give us a call to help you choose the best model. We can get them in most any shape and size consumer item indoors or outdoors.

Questions? We got answers! Just call us by picking up the phone, and using your index finger to dial out 1-877-3-EYESPY (1-877-339-3779).

Coffee Travel Mug Hidden Camera Controls And Recording Data

    Tuesday, April 23rd, 2013

We are putting one of the coolest spy cameras we have seen in years, the Coffee Travel Mug Hidden Camera through it’s paces, and wanted to show you the controls, and recording data so far.

Everything in this covert camera is contained in the top piece, the camera, battery SD card slot, USB port, and controls. It’s not waterproof, so don’t put any coffee in it, though it gives you a spare lid, so you can carry coffee around in it, then when finished, pop on the camera top, push one button for a second, and set it down & you are video recording. How easy is that?

The camera lens is on the edge of the cap with the camera in it.

Coffee Travel Mug Hidden Camera Location

All you need to do is decide if you want HD video, or VGA video. In our tests with an 8GB micro SD card, we were able to record 2:43 minutes of video in the HD mode. We are out of 16gb and not sure if it will record longer until those chips come in. For now, it breaks up the video into 30 minute chunks, exactly 1.56GB per file, so there were 5x of those, , and a 13 minute clip that was 7 or 8GB.

UPDATE: Using a 8GB card on VGA mode, 640 x 480 @ 30 fps, we recorded 3 hours & 43 minutes of super clear video. File sizes are smaller, we fit 7x 30 minutes files that are 826MB ea, and a 13 minute clip that was 365MB. Since there is 1.81GB available, the battery gave out before we filled up the card. Final test will be with a 16GB card on HD video to see if we get that similar amount of time. I’ll post video clips on the product page.

    Here are the controls.

    Coffee Travel Mug Hidden Camera

One thing, you have to format the memory card first, you can’t just stick it in & record; nothing will show up. You hold the Format button down for 2 seconds, and with another finger, hold down the On/Off button until the blue light comes on, then release the Format button, and still holding down the On/Off button until the Red Record light starts blink, release the On/Off button. If the blue light is solid, it took, and if it blinks and goes off, its a bad memory card. We could not format one card, and we tried another and it took no problem.

So now you can leave this innocent looking coffee travel mug on your desk, or even inside your car, and for up to 3 hours, you can record video, and find the punk that is stealing from you or damaging your property.

Call us for more info & remember don’t put any coffee in it when recording!

    VideoIQ Kills The NVR

    Thursday, August 30th, 2012

We just started carrying the VideoIQ line of smart IP cameras, starting with the VideoIQ iCVR-HD IP66 IP Dome Camera. While you might be yawning and thinking, yet another line of network cameras, you are judging a book by it’s cover. The main reason why? VideoIQ kills the network video recorder with network cameras that have up to 750GB of internal solid-state hard drives, eliminating the need for multiple DVR’s at every location you need to watch over.

This is a industry killer folks, as now you no longer need a NVR to record your cameras. The VideoIQ iCVR cameras have ZERO bandwidth, except for the M-JPEG stream. No video is clogging up your local area network. No longer do you need to set up a separate LAN to take care of your cameras. With the VideoIQ cameras, you record on camera, and when you need to get archival video, you just log into the camera with a browser to download the clips you need for the fuzz. Bottom line? You are going to save a ton of money on your project costs.

Here’s a video for VideoIQ and what they do, VideoIQ Overview

The cameras are a true 1920 x 1080, which gives you a great, wide shot, wider than a 3 megapixel camera, and lets you digitally zoom in to see faces and license plates.

Now you can record on the camera, notify you when there is motion, automatically auto track a person, even though it’s not a PTZ camera, and toss your network video recorder to the trash. How cool is that? For more info on the VideoIQ line of cameras, or to get a quote for your needs, give us a shout @ the number below, or send us an email to: info@eyespypro.com.

The Bush Baby Wireless IP Air Freshener Hidden Camera Sees All

    Tuesday, August 28th, 2012

The Bush Baby Wireless IP Air Freshener Hidden Camera is a network IP camera hidden inside this air freshener that connects with WiFi or a Internet cable to your router, allowing you to monitor up to 64 of these cameras on your computer or smart phone!

No matter if you have to watch your house, apartment, or dorm when you’re not there, or if you want to see what’s going on in you business, then the new line Bush Baby Wireless IP Air Freshener Hidden Camera could be what you need.

We found this YouTube video recorded @ 320 x 240 and it is manually rotated. You can’t see the IR’s, unless you put your mug right in front of them, then you will see a slightly red glow. The video shows the IR’s going on when it hits the plant, as it turns b/w, and when away, they turn off and it’s back to color.

We were really impressed with how this product works, making it now possible to easily watch your hidden camera stream online or using your iPhone or Android phone. While you don’t need a PC to make it work, you do need an Internet connection, and to be able to open a port on that router. You can watch the video on a Mac or PC, though you need a PC to set up the cameras.

The Bush Baby Wireless IP Air Freshener Hidden Camera records in clear, 640 x 480 video at 25 frames per second, and it has built-in Night vision with IR’s that record in low light.

In addition to watching up to 64 cameras, located in one or many locations, you can also have up to 4 people long in to see the streams.

The camera by itself won’t record any video. If you want to record the video, just open a web browser, and on that computer you can record the video. If you are looking for a great Nanny Cam to watch your elderly parents, family, kids, or office, then you might find these of interest, just be able to open a port on your router or it won’t work.

The other models are a Neon Wall Clock, a nice looking fake fern, Exit sign, and speakers.

    CCTV Cameras Are Dead

    Wednesday, June 13th, 2012

Let’s get this out right away, the CCTV camera is dead. IP Cameras have driven a stake through their heart of Analog cameras, and you no longer do we have to look at pixelated, crappy video footage. In the last decade they were great, though for most purposes, they produced totally usless video for law enforcement, and it’s hard to identify pixel man in a line up.

Can you really identify this punk? Hardly. So we got a call from an IT guy who needs help with setting up his clients 8 store locations with cameras. The need 1 or 2 cameras to record money being counted, so we suggest a dome on the ceiling with an 8mm lens to zoom right in. The client was on a budget, and we wanted to show them the quality differences between digtial network IP cameras, and stone age, analog CCTV cameras. We are going to show you why you should NEVER buy any CCTV camera kit at Costco or Walmar, because the video will be garbage, and you might as well toss your money on the BBQ and burn it to a crisp as the video for the police will be worthless.

We wanted to come up with a low cost recording solution, so we decided to quote the AverMedia EH1004H-4 4 Channel Hybrid Network Video Recorder, a great little video recorder that would accept analog and digital cameras. It’s affordable, and with the CMS software, you can access up to 16 different NVR’s, DVR’s with no additional cost, it’s got a great price, and it works with most IP cameras. It’s great for a home, or chain of small stores, or even one store. Three different versions accept four, eight, or sixteen cameras, and with the free Control center software, you can watch selected cameras from up to 16 other NVR’s. For free, it’s great.

So we hooked up one of the new Vivotek FD8136 Mini Dome Megapixel IP Camera, a mini 1 megapixel dome camera, and put on a 8mm lens, and used a SecuNext 700 line dome camera with the same 8MM lens. You tell me which one looks better, then vote in the poll.

SecuNext 700 Line Dome Camera :0(

    Here’s the money shots!

We have sample video we will post in the next couple days; just wanted to announce the death of the analog CCTV camera. Call us @ 1-877-339-3779 and we will help you with picking the right cameras and recorders to do the job for you!

Access Your My-See Video In Under Three Minutes

    Wednesday, May 30th, 2012

We set up one of the My-See Indoor IP Cameras, and we were impressed with how easy they were to set up and access remotely. It took less than 3 minutes to get the camera to show up on the My-See control panel. The My-See cameras are VGA resolution IP camera (640 X 480), that offer the ability to store your video in the cloud, and not have to buy a network video recorder. Rather, the camera will monitor your home, apartment, dorm, office, warehouse, or storage room, and to notify you when someone comes in front of the camera.

    My See Indoor IP Camera

    My See Indoor IP Camera

It took us all of 3 minutes to get live view over the net of the camera. We connected the camera to our switch, and powered it up. We then logged into the My-See web site and entered our username & password. What’s really cool is you can view the site in English, French, Spanish, Suomi, Portuguese, and Polish. Just check the radio button for which language you want, and you are logged in.

We were asked to install Active X, if you don’t have it installed already, and then it asked to install some other software. When done, we could see that it was trying to show the image, though it was a blank, and had that little icon in the top left corner that was broken in 1/2, and didn’t see the camera.

At this point, we saw the icon of a little brick wall picture with a flame coming out that says, “No Video? Try here.” As soon as we did, the camera showed up. We are editing a video on the install and will have it on YouTube shortly.

All three versions of the My-See IP cameras are both wired and wireless, and you will need one WAP or wireless access point per location, and you can have up to six total cameras in each location. If you have a chain of stores, this is an ideal way to monitor all your locations from one location, without having to buy NVR’s at each location. Since they are both wired & wireless, you can choose which way you want to connect.

There are iPhone, Android, and Blackberry app’s, so you can pull your camera up on your smart phone, and you can customize your alerts to send to up to 4 recipients when motion is detected, and you can customize the email subject & body, as well as attach a jpg picture or 10 second mp4 video, and SMS text message to your phone, by selecting your carrier from a drop down menu.

There is a monthly plan of $14.95 per camera that will be billed each month, and if you have any questions on the My-See IP cameras, pick up the phone & call us at the # below.

Video Samples Of Upgraded SecureShot Hidden Camera And DVR

    Saturday, May 26th, 2012

Even though its Memorial Day weekend, my slave driver boss has me working while they are enjoying themselves. That’s OK, as I have a nice stash of crickets and worms for later.

I just added a bunch of videos of the new SecureShot Hidden Cameras and DVR that have the upgraded 720 x 480 D1 video that plays at real-time 30 frames a second. These hidden cameras with self recording DVR are the best Nanny Cam or Granny Cam on the market because of how covert they are. You can’t find any lights, slots, or other features that other products have. All memory cards are hidden behind hidden trap doors that only you have the key to access.

Take for example the SecureShot AM FM Clock Weather Radio Hidden Camera DVR. We take an ordinary Midland weather clock radio, and put in a high resolution 550 line camera that auto switches to low light, or a special spy camera that works wth the invisible night vision illumiators to record in total darkness.

SecureShot AM FM Clock Weather Radio Hidden Camera DVR
SecureShot AM FM Clock Weather Radio Hidden Camera DVR

Here are actual raw samples from a SecureShot with IR Hidden Camera. Right click to download them to your computer. For the raw .asf files, use either VLC Media Player on Mac or PC, or KM Player on the PC to play back the .asf files.

Indoor Video raw clips in .asf format.

Outdoor Video we trimmed and converted to .mov format with Video Converter.

If you think your housekeeper or gardner is stealing from you, if some punk kid is damaging your car or flower garden, or if are having thefts of your property at home or work, and when you are not there, these are the best self-recording hidden cameras that we carry.

Here’s a special offer for you, we will upgrade your memory to 8GB for FREE! Just mention FREE 8GB in the comments box @ check-out. Stay save this holiday, stay out of the sun, don’t drink and drive, and rest up for a great rest of 2012!

My-See IP Cameras Are Pre-Configured For Instant Internet Access

    Tuesday, May 22nd, 2012

We just added the My-See Video line of IP cameras that come pre-configured for online cloud access, and connect to the Internet in minutes. The My-See IP cameras use cloud technology to store up to 50mb of video per month for $14.95 per camera. You can hook up to 6 wired or wireless cameras at any one location, and if you have multiple locations, this is a really effective way to watch all of them from any Internet browser or smart phone.

The My-See cameras can be used wired or wireless with the My-See WAP. For example, you can hook up to 6 My See Fixed Outdoor Wireless Cameras to a switch connected to your router with Ethernet cable, or have up to 6 wireless cameras connected to the wireless receiver, or any combination of 6 per location. You can purchase the wireless receiver and one camera in a package, like the My See Wireless Pan Tilt Camera and Receiver, and add 5 more cameras.

    my-see-plug-n-play-video.jpg

The My-See Camera are all VGA res CMOS cameras that records in 640 x 480 resolution, 30 frames a second. The video is very clear, and the camera arrives preprogrammed to just work. No port forwarding, no dealing with IP addresses, and you do not need to be a techno geek to get it to work!

You don’t need a DVR or NVR or computer, it’s all in the cloud. Record 10 second clips, and receive alerts via email, text, and MMS. Works with the iPhone, iPad, Android, or Blackberry apps! View your video live, no matter where you are in the world. For more info, call us @ 1-877-339-3779 or click this link to view all the My-See IP Cameras.

    Tuesday, May 15th, 2012

AXIS Communications just launched the AXIS P8514 Covert Network Camera, a 1 megapixel hidden IP camera that is perfect for any retail or bank installation. The AXIS P8514 Covert Network Camera actually is hidden in a pipe like object and points right an average persons face. And the best part about it is that no more surveillance video of a guys hat! Since this is not looking down at the ceiling, they can’t cover their face with a baseball cap.

    AXIS P8514 Covert Network Camera

And it comes with a sticker that makes it look like it’s an innocent looking height measurement tool, however, only you will know it’s filming video of the punk that just tried to rob you. It also comes in a SVGA model that records up to 800 x 600 resolution if you are on a budget.
