We’re getting tons of calls from people who breed horses or raise bulls, and seems like birthing season is upon us, and they all want to watch how the baby calf is doing in the barn. We usually suggest the VersaCam LiveView Super IR Weatherproof Camera, which is a good 2.4GHz wireless night vision camera that can withstand pretty cold temperatures, even below freezing. It uses these high power infrared lights that can see up to 100+ feet in the darkness.
So when it’s at night and a little nippy, you can pull on your coat, sweater, gloves, muffler, and hat and see how the little guy is doing, or you can go over to your PC or TV and see how they are doing from your wireless barn camera from the warmth of your home.

The VersaCam LiveView Super IR Weatherproof Camera
Hook up the camera where you want it, and run a power cord to it. Put the little box by your computer and install the driver & free Blue Iris software for PC or remote monitoring. Follow the instructions and hook up the little box to the USB port, and shortly you will be viewing your little guys. Post your log in info and other people can watch your baby colt feed if you can handle the bandwidth.
Super easy to set up, and with infrareds that will light up the night, the Super IR camera is also a great wired camera, if you want to run some coax cable or siamese cable to it.
If you need to watch your little horses or bulls, or just have some punk messing with your ride, the Super IR is a weatherproof camera that can handle a good sprinkle, as well as near freezing temperature, and still produce great images day or night.
We’ll be adding some nice wireless systems from AverDigi shortly, however, for the price, the The VersaCam LiveView Super IR Weatherproof Camera provides a lotta bang for the buck.
