GeoVision 4 Megapixel Fish Eye Camera

That’s all changed in the last few months with GeoVision launching a ton of new IP cameras, and one of the coolest is their GeoVision 4MP Fisheye IP Camera 360 degree megapixel cameras. While the ability to film a complete room with one camera, and the ability to break it up into either 2 or 4 quadrants, and have them rotate with software enhancement is cool, the auto tracking feature blew us away.

When the auto tracking feature is enabled, the camera will automatically track a person or object when it enters the picture, while they walk around the room.

And their latest version of their 8.5 software has many, many improvements. If you are running older software, you must upgrade to 8.5 for many reasons. One is the ability to run higher frame rates due to it utilizing the CPU more efficiently.

And the latest version uses the Sandy Bridge feature in the new Intel CPU’s that let the software hand off some of the processing to the GPU, instead of dumping it all on the CPU, resulting in a 20% drop in CPU load from 70% to about 50%. I am foaming at the mouth!

These punks have no respect for public or private property, and will not think twice about breaking your windows, smashing your property, and generally being royal pain’s in the arses.

While this is America, and you can voice your opinion as much as you like, these bastards are replicating European style anarchy that is hell-bent on destroying the Republic, and turning this once great country into some kind of commie, pinko socialist poop hole where all activities designed to make a profit are evil and abolished. While I totally agree that our Government is hell bent out of control, and need to stop spending and not raise one more dime of revenue, I don’t want some smelly dread locked person living @ Mom’s to get in my way and delay my daily routines by blocking the streets so I can’t drive to where I need to, or go to my bank to deposit the huge profits us capitalists make every hour. These people are really 1%’rs, not 99%ers. With over 300 million people in the USA, these people hardly even make up 1% of the population. You don’t speak for the majority of Americans who love capitalism, who love to make money. Money is not evil, you are evil. We strive to make the biggest profit we can.

This is the USA, not a socialist country. It’s not fair, it can’t be equal, and it never was designed to be. Quit crying about equality because the only things you are guaranteed here is the right to pursue your own dreams, smelly brown stuff will come out of your butt, and you will die. Make the most of it and quit complaining. Become your own Steve Jobs, invent the next greatest thing. However, the only thing you will invent crying about things is your own demise. If you want a handout, go to a country in Europe that loves to give all the taxes away to foreigners. GVI Security recently released their Razberi Integrated Network Video Recorder with 8 PoE Ports. And while you might be yawning over yet another network video recorder, your jaw will drop when you see what it can do.

Lets start with complete plug-n-play capabilities. Power up the Razberi, and plug your cameras directly into the back of the 8 PoE ports on the back. So you don’t need any PoE switch, nor do you have to pay 3rd party license fees!

Just install their client software on any PC, and you can pull up all your cameras. If you have multiple locations, put a Razberi in each location, and you can pull them all up at once. You can make custom views where you can pick a few cameras from each NVR, and view them at one time.

And the tour feature is really cool. Set up a new tour, and you can view any number of cameras at one time, one after another, in the same view, then embed the tour in an 8-16 camera view, and instead of showing just one camera, that particular one will switch between all the cameras in that view. It’s al drag & drop.

And, hook up one of their DVR’s, and you have a great hybrid system that will also pull up on their client software. Watch unlimited DVR’s and NVR’s at once, with unlimited cameras, though you can only view 16 at a time, though with the tour feature, you can easily multiply that to hundreds of cameras.

A hosted video service is also great for any business, as you can use this as a 1-2 camera back-up service that will record and store video offsite, so even if a thief steals your video recording equipment, we have them on film far away, and you can access it on any Internet browser, iPhone, Blackberry, or Droid phone. Or if you have multiple locations, like sandwich shops, restaurants, gift shops, etc, you can put 1-4 cameras at each location, allowing you to access live video from any camera, as well as record all events.

After that, the oldest videos are deleted to make room for the current videos.

All you need is a qualified AXIS network camera that is listed here, or if you have CCTV cameras, you can use an AXIS video encoder, and get good quality results. If the camera is already PoE, all you need is a PoE switch to power the camera, and record the video. If not, you can get a PoE splitter/injector to also power the camera, otherwise you need to power it with electricity.

There are 41 different AXIS IP cameras to choose from, and 3 video encoders for legacy CCTV cameras. You can also take one of our wired hidden cameras, and hook it to a video encoder, for your covert, hidden camera applications. The software is super easy to use, and we will have our portal ready next week. You just log in to access the live feeds, and you can take a snapshot, or manually record 20 second clips.

An alert security guard found the guys action suspicious, and she followed him around. He got across the street, and went to another block, and the camera was still keeping up with super clear video.

And then the punk grabs 2 purses from two elderly women on the way to Church. Man, you don’t get to be more of a scum bag than that Joe. What is it, your drug habit you gotta feed that causes you to attack a woman who could be your great grandmother??? Then the idiot runs off and leaves his truck sitting in the loading dock, and 3 hours later he comes back and the COPS take him down. What a buffoon!

While I have no idea what cameras they were using, it appears to be a high quality PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) IP Camera to go back and forth that quick. If you have CCTV cameras that are working for you, you have 3 options if you need to expand:

• You can leave it alone and add more CCTV cameras, running more cable, though you can go to a video balun set up to make that easy.

The only way to get a true hidden camera is to use a pinhole lens that sees through a tiny hole in a clock radio, wall clock, fan, or other consumer device.

However, network IP cameras have huge lenses, and would result in a huge hole in the clock radio that would give it away.

So what are you going to do? Well, AXIS released the AXIS M7001 Mini Video Encoder and covert camera kit, which allows you to use a tiny, analog camera, and encode it to digital at the source, turning any wireless or wired CCTV camera into a Network camera for a low cost.

It includes a little covert analog CCTV camera that has a mini jack plug to not only send the analog video to the digital video encoder, it also powers the camera. Put it in an out of the way place, and you can get great video that would be stored to a standard PC.

What AXIS offers is that you can use a regular PC to store the video, and free software to view and record. Just plug the camera into the encoder, and it will power the camera.

The encoder is PoE compliant, which means it is powered over ethernet, allowing you to run just one ethernet cable from a PoE switch, to the encoder, and it will power it and the camera. Pretty slick, eh?

Then you can view the camera feed live on any Internet connected PC or smart phone.

The beauty of the M7001 video encoder is that any inexpensive analog wired hidden cameras can be hooked up to this device, turning it into a network IP camera.
