This year keep your goblins safe, & make sure you have a good outdoor camera with night vision like the The VersaCam LiveView Super IR Weatherproof Camera to make sure punks don’t go smashing your pumpkins.

I am sure some people drop a lot of coin on Halloween decorations, only to wake up one morning to see them stolen or destroyed. That would burn my burrito if it was my stuff. If you want a quick and easy way to get set up with a great quality night vision camera in less than an hour, so you can see if any of the local zombies start tearing up your yard decorations.

The VersaCam LiveView Super IR Weatherproof Camera

The VersaCam Super IR is about the size of a coffee can and has a ton of infrareds so it will see well at night. The IR’s glow red, and we put a video here called: What Does An Infrared Illuminator Look Like At Night to show you what they look like.

All you gotta do is run some power to it. They still make those screw in plugs if you have an old flood light you are not using. Then the Super IR will send wireless signals to a little box that gets plugged into a TV or the USB port on your PC. It won’t work on a Mac. Install the Blue Iris software and you can see the camera during the day or night.

If you want to be master of your property, set up a VersaCam Super IR, and sleep safe at night like one of our customers who has a similar set up:

"I wanted to let you that with the installation of the night vision/DVR combo we ordered from you we now feel more secure in our home. There had been some break-ins in recent weeks in our neighborhood. With this system we are able to monitor any activity outside of our home at night while we sleep and when we are not at home. Thank you,"

I could not have done better if I made it up myself.

We read with pure disgust that some punks went around and <a href="http://www.ocregister.com/articles/flags-amormino-burned-2489010-three-very"target="_blank">burned four flags in a quiet Laguna Niguel, CA neighborhood.

Then we see that the same thing is happening in Dallas, Texas as well. A man comes home to <a href="http://cbs11tv.com/local/Flag.Burned.Again.2.1084277.html"target="_blank">find his flag a pile of ashes. Only this time, it’s the 2nd time his flag was burned.

The first time, an Iraq veteran donated a flag that flew over his base camp to the man, though luckily that was not the one that was not burned.

I am a veteran that served four active years, two in Fulda, Germany, keeping tanks & trunks humming just in case the Russians blew in through the “Fulda Gap.” Five years after the Baader-Meinhof gang arrested, and we are walking guard at some ammo dump in the middle of nowhere, in cold that makes your feet numb so bad you can not feel them, with a M-16 with no ammo.

Anyway, I am completely disgusted that any flags are burned & the culprits are probably young men who watch too many violent video games and have absolutely no life. Flags are the symbol of the people that make up a country, with all it’s hopes & dreams captured in a banner. I love flags; they are beautiful & I enjoy the diversity of our world and it’s people and it’s flags.

And it all gets vaporized in a few minutes by some immature punk. I really wanted to talk about a new movie called The Hurt Locker, which is about a solider who goes around diffusing roadside bombs in Iraq. It’s gritty and pretty realistic, and it’s not playing in that many theaters, so you will have to hunt it down.

Though if you are concerned that the vandalism is eventually going to reach your neighborhood, or if you have already been vandalized, then we have an inexpensive wireless outdoor camera with infrareds is just you need to light up the night.

The VersaCam LiveView 36 Infrared Wireless Outdoor Camera is a little color bullet wireless camera that can see up to 50 feet at night in the dark, and several hundred feet during the day. What’s great about the VersaCam LiveView is that you don’t have to drop a grand on a surveillance system.

The VersaCam LiveView 36 Infrared Wireless Outdoor Camera

The VC/36 trasmits the wireless signals to a little box that plugs into the USB port of your computer. Actually, you install the drivers first, then you plug in the box & power it up. It can accept up to 4 cameras, though you can not see them split screen, only one at a time ever 3.5 seconds.

We installed the drivers, powered the base & installed this Blue Iris software that you use to see the cameras. This is a pretty slick program, and you get it for free. We hooked up one small box camera, as we are waiting on a VC/36 to test.

Then you find a spot outside to put the camera. You can put one pointing @ the front door, and one pointing out the front yard or driveway as well. It can take up to four, though it only shows one @ a time every 3.5 seconds. We will hook up 2, 3 & 4 total to see how it works with that much video and if it records all the time, or just when it shows the camera. It’s limited, though for a couple camera set-up for people on a budget, or just don’t want to drop big coin on some cameras, it WILL do the job of filming your local punks.

Then you set up the software and tell it to use the driver you installed & you can see the image. What’s great is that it has motion detection, so it can send you a variety of alerts when something moves in front of the camera.

Put it at your front door, and you can see who is there from any Internet connection in the building, or the world! You can choose to get email or text messaging alerts to your phone, as well as audio alerts over the computers loudspeaker. It also turns a camera into a webcam.

So you put one of these little guys out front, and point it at your flag. IF some punks come around and mess with your car, boat, truck, RV, pink plastic flamingos, halloween decorations, baby Jesus, or garden Trolls, then you got them on record because the Blue Iris software is recording the video to disc.

Now you have something to burn to a DVD to give to the Coppers when they show up. Protect your flag, your car, and your property from vandals and punks with the super easy to use and set up VersaCam VC/36 video surveillance camera.

Seems a dispute between neighbors caught a Texas district judge allegedly keying his neighbors car. Video surveillance the victim recorded shows the judge walking past his neighbors car & moving his hand as he comes near the vehicle. He was actually caught more than once doing this.

While the judge is claiming his innocence, there is a simmering dispute between the two homeowners. Seems the guy who’s car was keyed complained about the judges barking dog, and the judge had a problem if the guy’s car was blocking the sidewalk.

I really hate barking dogs that irresponsible idiots won’t do anything about & just yap on & on & on. Thank the Lord Costa Mesa has a barking dog law that will eventually stop a yapping mutt.

Anyway, we have reported time & time again about neighbors being so sick of each other that they would do things they would normally not do, even in some cases killing them. Our neighbors are a large hispanic family that runs some type of business, and they are constantly waking me up throwing shovels & wheel barrows in their trucks @ the crack of dawn, and it does upset me & I am tired of it. So I can see how someone could snap, though it should have been the guy who was tired of hearing the barking dog, not the owner of the inconsiderate mutt.

We just found the next generation in wireless camera that you can set up to watch over your property, and catch any of the punks that have been messing around with your cars. The 2.4GHz Digital Wireless Camera Set is digitally encrypted, and it uses a frequency hopping technology where it jumps to a different frequency if it can’t deliver a clear signal. Why we have not tried this yet, since they have not come in yet, if it does work, it will be a revival of the 2.4GHz technology cameras because right now, they are prone to interference from other 2.4GHz devices like routers & mobile phones.

2.4 GHz Digital Wireless Camera Set

It’s an outdoor IP-44 rated, wireless infrared surveillance camera that can see up to 25 feet in the dark, and has a built in microphone, which most cameras don’t have. It sends the signal to a receiver over a range of channels using a frequency hopping technology. The signal will fluctuate between 2402Mhz ~ 2480Mhz, so you always have clear reception.

The receiver has dual outputs; USB or A/V, so you can hook it up to a TV, or a PC, and one thing that I am told makes it better than the VersaCam SuperIR is that it will show a split or quad screen, so you can display up to 4 cameras at one time. Choose between 640 x 480 or 320 x 240 size video, though we don’t know at what fps yet.

The 2.4GHz Digital Wireless Camera set send signals up to 800 feet, an up to 1,600 feet with an optional high strength antenna. It’s an easy to set-up and use 1-4 camera surveillance system that you can use to protect your home or business. We expect them in by the middle of July, and are taking advanced orders for the 2.4GHz Digital Wireless Camera.

Already, we start reading about the people who loose some or all of their holiday decorations to neighborhood punks. Many people spend hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on Christmas decorations. We read about one family, who set up cameras to watch their nativity scene, and recorded a girl stealing a Baby Jesus worth $500!

They also talk about putting a GPS device inside the baby Jesus, to help track him; brilliant idea! We will show you a few items you can use to protect your property.

The least expensive, easiest to use and set up is a The SecureView Flood Light Camera. This simple security camera screws into a flood light housing, and has a camera inside the bulb. You watch the video on a TV or a VCR for those of you who don’t want to invest in DVR’s or recorders. You just plug a little box in the wall outlet near your TV, and electricity carries the video signal over your electrical wires to the little box. You then connect the box to a video input on the TV or VCR. Simple, low cost, easy, and works well.

Next would be the Color Day Night IR Camera with Built-in DVR that records video to internal SD cards. Mount this on the side of the roof or a tree. All you need to do is run an electrical cord to the camera, plug it in & set it up with the included wireless remote control. With the Motion Detection feature, it will record day or night for about 5 hours, only when there is movement in front of the camera. The only drawback is you have to retrieve the SD card to view the video…

If you don’t want to do that, consider the VersaCam VC/36, a good little camera that can see up to about about 50 in the dark, and has nice clear images. It uses a wide view lens, so you can cover most of your front yard with one camera.

The VC/36 is small and painted black, so it’s easy to stick in a corner and no one will know it’s there. You will need to run electricity to the camera, and it sends the signal wirelessly to a small box that plugs into the USB port of your computer. With the included Blue Iris software, you can hook up 3 more cameras, and view them on your computer, rotating each image ever 3.5 seconds. Easy to set up, the VersaCams are our top sellers, with good quality video.

Or go full blown with a 4 or 8 channel DVR and add outdoor wired or wireless cameras for complete surveillance systems starting at $649.95.

Now to track the Baby Jesus if he is stolen. The only way to do it is with a GPS Tracker. A GPS Logger is only good for after the fact, and you have to have it to read where it’s been. A GPS Tracker tracks in real time and can notifiy you when it moves, so as soon as baby Jesus is stolen, it will send you a text message that he is on the move.

The best one for the job is the GPS Global Asset Tracker. The GPS Global Asset Tracker is a tiny 4 inches long, and is a real-time GPS tracker that does not require monthly fees like other GPS Trackers. It can last up to 3 months and they give you one free track without having to have the monthly service. You easily activate the GPS Global Asset Tracker when you notice your asset is missing. The beauty is you don’t need to have monthly service, you just activate it when something is stolen.

Of all the hair-brain ideas coming out of a supposed free country like South Korea is this gem dating back to the crap the East German Stasi pulled on it’s citizens before the collapse of Communism in E. Germany. While back then, the people turned in their friends & neighbors purely for political ideals, this new breed of spy is doing it for the money!

Seems there are spy schools in S. Korea to train people how to spy on their neighbors and how to operate hidden cameras to record the really serious crimes like, get ready, smoking cigarettes in the a non-specific smoking area or giving away, GASP, free plastic bags at the store. Line up the bastards and shoot them at dawn, this is serious crimes here…

The British have also been encouraging people to rat out people who illegally dump and pay some hefty rewards of 500 Pounds or $758!

UK Children aged eight enlisted as council snoopers (report ‘enviro-crime’) Daily Telegraph ^ | Sept 6, 2008

The youngsters are among almost 5,000 residents who in some cases are being offered £500 rewards if they provide evidence of minor infractions.

One in six councils contacted by the Telegraph said they had signed up teams of “environment volunteers” who are being encouraged to photograph or video neighbours guilty of dog fouling, littering or “bin crimes”.

We can only imagine this crap coming to a city near you. However, with a small device called a hidden camera detector like the LensFinder RF Dual Mode Hidden Camera Detector, you can rat out the rats.

The LensFinder Dual Mode Bug Detector is unlike any other hidden camera or hidden bug detector, in that you can detect hidden microphones, and wired or wireless cameras, in a small and discrete device that fits in a purse or pocket, and costs less than $200.

For finding hidden RF bugs (tiny microphones that transmit your conversation over regular radio waves), which are sold openly in China/Taiwan, the Lens Finder will let you know when it finds one and can detect frequencies between 1Mhz to 6Ghz.

AM & FM radio transmits between 30–300 MHz. Most wireless cameras operate in 2.4GHz, though there are 1.2MHz and 5.8MHz cameras also. The LensFinder finds most bugs and wireless cameras, except ultra high frequency devices.

The unit will identify the frequencies one of two ways, with 4 LED’s that light as you get closer to the signal, and a vibration mode.

For finding hidden cameras, wired or wireless, the unit also operates as a laser scanner that will set off a series of 4 Bright LED’s that will flash brightly. Don’t look at them, instead point them at where you think a camera lens might be, and look through the protected lens. The blinking lights will reflect back to you when you point them at a camera lens.

The LensFinder RF Dual Mode Hidden Camera Detector kills 2 birds with one stone, finds wireless bugs or cameras, and finds wired or wireless cameras.

Video here of a little kid getting shocked by an electrified sign when he tried to steal it and put up an Obama sign. What kind of parent would enlist his kid to steal signs from his neighbors?

This campaign is getting ugly and I really can’t wait for it to get over. I remember when I was in my 20’s and attempting to be an artist, we liked to go around and vandalize political signs. In Phoenix, they use to put up big signs with the politicians faces on it. We would grab some red spray paint, and after spraying each eye for a couple seconds, they would look they were gouged out. Yes, sick, I know, we were liberal artists!

If some punk kid is stealing your political signs, catch him with a great one camera set-up that is easy to use and easy to get started. The VersaCam VC/36 is a little camera you mount in the front of your house or business. Run a power cord to it and you can start transmitting video to a little box that plugs into your computers USB port. If you don’t have any electrical outlets, and you have an outdoor light, you can get one of those adapters @ the hardware store that will screw in the socket and give you a 12v electrical outlet to plug the camera in to.

The VersaCam VC/36 is a day/night outdoor camera with Infrared LED’s that will light up the night and record day or night. You install the easy to use Blue Iris software and you can control the camera from the computer. Set it up to only record motion, and when the punk kid walks up your lawn, the camera will automatically start recording.

You can watch your property remotely from any computer connected to the Internet when you go to a special website and enter your username & password.

You can hook up 3 additional cameras, indoor or outdoor and cover your whole property. It won’t show split screens, it just rotates the feed ever 3.5 seconds, so you see up to 4 cameras in 14 seconds. Plenty of time to alert you to problems, then you just focus on the one camera that has the issues.

You can find out more information on our VersaCam Live View cameras in our online store and save your signs!

In an interesting move, a Chicago, IL suburb, West Chatham, a homeowner tired of vandals destroying his property agreed to let police install video surveillance cameras at his home.

Homeowner links cameras to city cops
First homeowner links his surveillance cameras to city cops

Charles Hill installed five surveillance cameras outside the 3,720-square-foot home he’s building in West Chatham after local kids broke $3,700 worth of architectural windows.

From now on he won’t be the only one checking the video when something bad happens on his block.

Hill has become the first private homeowner to take the city up on its unprecedented offer to connect privately owned exterior surveillance cameras to Chicago’s 911 emergency center.

It is interesting to see that 2 dozen businesses and schools have also agreed to share their video. It really didn’t go into detail if they are wired or wireless, though it talked about a fiber optic network that was encrypted.

We always feel that a Video Surveillance System is the best way to protect your home, as you can have a record of who entered your property to give to law enforcement.

There are so many ways to protect your home or business. For people on a budget and not wanting to buy DVR’s and cameras, the simplest is the SecureView Flood Light Camera, a camera hidden in a flood light that sends video to a box you plug into your T.V. or VCR.

For a great price to performance ratio, we have the 1-4 VersaCam Live View series, that allow you to record up to 4 indoor or outdoor cameras through a small box that connects to your computers USB port.

From there, we have video surveillance systems starting at 4 camera’s and up. Visit our website EyeSpyPro.com for more information. We can also help you put together a complete video surveillance system from different components. Use our contact form, or call us for more information…

Any comments about letting Law Enforcement put a camera at your house? I can see this in Socialist countries, though is that going to far in our free society?

Neighborhood security requires – above all else – community participation. You’re only as safe and secure as your neighbors make you, which is why true neighborhood security requires an organizer. If you are the neighborhood’s security organizer, on your HOA’s security board or simply a citizen determined to make your community safer this article presents tools, theories, concepts and tactics for bringing true safety to those who matter most – your family.

If you have any questions about any of the tactics or strategies presented here please feel free to contact us at info@pro-vigil.com. If you’d like more information on protecting your neighborhood with live video surveillance please call us at (866) 616-1318 or visit our contact page.

Table of Contents:
1) Institute or Revitalize Your Neighborhood Watch
2) Provide Adequate Security Lighting
3) Upgrade Your Guards and Cameras: Live Security Surveillance

Its important for neighbors to look out for each other. The Cops won’t be there when the punk is breaking in your neighbors home. You need to be their eyes and ears when they are not there. The above Free strategies are a good place to start.

For more info, check out the rest of the article. For a great selection of outdoor cameras that will secure your property with a digital fence that records anytime some punk comes on to your property, visit our line of outdoor cameras like the VersaCam Super IR camera, which will see up to 150 feet in the dark, and record the video to your computer with a small box that plugs into a USB port.
