Push Intrusion Video Right To You With The AVTech AVN80X 1.3 Megapixel Network Camera

    Thursday, June 21st, 2012

We made our first video of the AVTech AVN80X 1.3 Megapixel Network Camera, which is a 1 megapixel IP camera that has some incredible push technology. The AVTech Push technology allows you to monitor your home, office, or any place you want to watch, and when someone comes in front of the camera, it will actually push a 10 second video clip right to your smart phone! Most other solutions just send an email or a picture of the person. With AVTech Push technology, you get the actual video, and it’s not that hard to set up.

The AVTech AVN80X 1.3 Megapixel Network Camera is made by AVTech, one of the leading OEM makers of DVR’s in Taiwan. They have some great new technologies including a self configuring 6 camera NVR with HDMI out, so you can hook up an LCD flat screen TV!

AVTech AVN80X 1.3 Megapixel Network Camera
AVTech AVN80X 1.3 Megapixel Network Camera

The AVTech AVN80X 1.3 Megapixel Network Camera is a high quality IP camera made of metal, has 1MP resolution standard, micro SD card slot, white LED for viewing in the dark, a heat activated motion sensor, microphone, and speaker! All for a little over $200. Quite a lot of quality in a little box. You can even hook up a couple motion sensors or door/window sensors to record when they are tripped.

To set up the push video, you do need to have access to opening a port on your router, and the detailed instructions go over the step-by-step procedure to getting the video to work. If you can’t program a VCR, do not try this @ home folks, get an expert. Otherwise if you can open the port, and find all routers IP address and can follow instructions, you can get this to work.

Here’s a YouTube video we made of what you get, and we are compiling the one of the features as we speak and hope to have it ready by tonight or tomorrow.

If you are looking for a low cost way to watch over somewhere where you are not, and you don’t want to invest in DVR’s or a multi-camera system, then this little camera could be right for you. In stock and shipping…

The GE Simon XT Is A True Plug N Play Wireless Home Intrusion System

    Thursday, May 24th, 2012

We just added the GE Simon XT wireless security package, and we were blown away with everything about it. Not only is this a wireless intrusion system that does not require one single wire, except the power cord. Completely wireless home automation is now within the grasp over everyone who owns a home, small business, apartment, or dorm. The uses for the GE Simon XT cellular wireless intrusion system are endless. And you don’t need to run one stinking wired to nuthing, it’s all wireless!!!

The base station plugs into the wall outlet, and comes with a pre configured SIM card, so you are up and running as soon as you plug it in. The system can accept up to 40 wireless alert devices, and 8 Z-Wave products, for a total of 48 different sensors to alert you when they go off. While we like the Honeywell Tuxedo, it requires a lot more work, and Total Control, and who needs extra work. This sytem works out of the box, just plug it in; it’s already set up to go once you plug it in an stick it to the wall with sticky double sided tape.

You can set up any number of indoor or Outdoor Wireless Motion Detector, window or door opening sensors, carbon monoxide or wireless smoke detectors, a wireless loud intrusion alarm bell, a wireless image sensor motion detection camera, any Z-Wave plug in light module for turning on anything you can plug into it like lamp, Z-Wave thermostats, and that’s 1/2 of the list. Put a motion sensor camera next to the base station, and if any punk tires to disable, disarm, unplug, or destroy it, it will flash his pic and let you pull it up online or on your smart phone!

    GE SIMON XT Security Package

    GE SIMON XT Security Package

The GE Simon XT system gets you away from the grasp of ADT and other intrusion companies because it sends the alerts to you, and you can call the Police, Fire Department, or neighbor. In addition to being an intrusion detection system, it also is a home automation system turning on lights or other devices, as well as managing your HVAC to control the temperature when you are not there, and then get it hot or cold before you come home so you don’t waste energy when you are not there.

For as little as $33.95 a month, you can have complete control of your home from your smart phone, or an Internet browser, less if you don’t want sensors or modules. The easy to use web interface makes arming and disarming, setting alerts, and controlling every aspect of the system a piece of cake. We will be posting a ton of pics of the web interface on the product page, so go check it out for more info, and pick up the phone to call us toll free; 1-877-3- EYESPY (1-877-339-3779) to answer any questions, and get your own GE Simon XT delivered right to your door step.

    EyeSpyPro.com Hosted Video Recording Service

    Monday, November 1st, 2010

We just introduced EyeSpyPro’s HVR or hosted video recording service, where we take care of storing your surveillance video, so you don’t have to worry about. This service is ideal for homeowners and small business owners with multiple locations. What we do is send you pre-configured cameras that you just have to install and connect to a switch that is connected to your Internet router. As long as you have Internet access, you only need to buy cameras. So you don’t have to buy a Network Video Recorder (NVR), or PC to store the video.

As long as you can provide about 250 kilobytes per second of upload speed per camera, you are in business. For example, at the Wendell home, our upload speed on DSL is about 1.5MB, so we could safely add 4 cameras that will consume approximately 1MB per second, leaving us extra for other needs.

    Hosted Video Recording

    Hosted Video Recording

Four reasons for having EyeSpyPro.com host your surveillance video:

    • No NVR to purchase or maintain, lower cost to get up and running
    • No worry about a thief stealing it, its safe and secure from earthquakes, fire, or other loss
    • Easy Internet or smart phone access; currently supports iPhone, Android, and Blackberry smart phones
    • Choose from a month to month plan, or a lower price with a yearly agreement

If you have multiple restaurants, gas stations, or dry cleansers, you can install 2-4 cameras per location, store the video all on our secure servers, and have the peace of mind that if an accident, or something is stolen, all you have to do is go online, and download the video clip to your desktop, then burn to a CD for Law Enforcement.

At the moment, it only works with these AXIS cameras, with more & more being added.

For Legacy applications or if you have a surveillance system already, this makes a great back-up where you can set up a couple cameras at key areas, and if you have multiple factories, or department stores, or car dealers, you can pull up all the locations at one time, online or on a smart phone

Speco Hybrid DVRs Can Add IP Cameras And Salvage Your CCTV Camera Investment

    Friday, June 18th, 2010

If you have a aging CCTV camera video surveillance system that you invested too much money into, and find yourself drooling over the new Network IP Cameras, then there is hope. Speco announces the Speco H.264 16 Camera Hybrid Pentaplex Digital Video Recorder Family with Network DDNS Video Server, which is a new line of hybrid DVR’s that will let you hook up analog CCTV and network ip cameras.

If you have CCTV cameras that are working for you, you have 3 options if you need to expand:

    • You can leave it alone and add more CCTV cameras, running more cable, though you can go to a video balun set up to make that easy.
    • You can invest in a Hybrid DVR that will allow you to hook up analog and digital cameras.
    • You can buy encoders that will convert the feed to digital, making the camera a network camera.

We will cover the Hybrid DVR in this post, and cover the encoder idea in another post. A hybrid DVR is a great way to transition into the digital world, as it’s still a fully functional DVR that you are use to, it will also let you expand with network cameras, which you can’t do with your current DVR.

QNAP Makes IP Network Camera Installation A Snap

    Thursday, June 17th, 2010

With Network IP cameras becoming more and more popular, leave it to QNAP to come out with an easy to use Network Video Recorder (NVR) that is perfect for home and small business use.

A NVR is needed to record your video. The beauty of an NVR is that it does not have to be at the location of the cameras. With CCTV cameras, you have to have your DVR at the location, and there is no way you can perform offsite recording, unless you either burn a DVR and physically move it, or back up to a USB hard drive and move it. With a NVR, the video travels over your local area network, and if you have your NVR on site, you can record right there.

QNAP NVR 104 4 Channel SOHO and Home Owner NVR
QNAP NVR 104 4 Channel SOHO and Home Owner NVR

Or, you can set up the NVR at a different location, and have your cameras send the video to the NVR so there is no recording going on on location. Perfect for any surveillance system because the thief usually steals the DVR, leaving you with no video.

And they work with over 600 cameras, from 32 camera makers, so you should have no problems adding most IP cameras. We will be putting some bundles together with AXIS cameras, ACTi IP cameras, and Vivotek IP cameras, so check back for updates.
