Almost 3 Hours Of Video With The Covert Key Chain Hidden Camera And Digital Video Recorder

It’s amazing what pops into your head at times. I was yacking away with a guy today about the differences between the Car Alarm Key Chain Hidden Video Camera & the Covert Key Chain Hidden Camera And Digital Video Recorder, and I had this huge brain flash. We were going over the different video quality and recording time and I remember when we tested the Covert Key Chain Camera, it recorded about 50 minutes of video.

Even though we were told it would record 3 hours, we did not believe them and did not advertise it that way. So the guy today says he saw that it was 3 hours recording also, and I said, no, we only got 50 minutes. Then it hit me. It filled up the included 2GB SD card before the battery needed a charge. So it was because of the small memory card that it only recorded 50 minutes.

So I pop in an 8GB SD card, and we got over 2.5 hours of video! It still breaks them up into 30 minute files, so you can find the part you want quickly.

We also posted 2 new videos and 1 photo of the device set down while recording, which is the best way to get clear video shots. These mini spy cams have no image stabilization, so you have to hold them still. A lot of our raw samples are with someone holding them, and the more you move, the blurrier it will be.

Setting this down and recording a long meeting with your Slum Lord or Contractor lying through their teeth? Priceless!!!

Wow, now we are testing the Car Alarm Keychain camera and will report back what we find.

The Worlds First Nanny Cam With Audio!

The Covert Alarm Clock Radio Hidden Camera And DVR With Audio is the first Nanny Cam on the market that adds audio, allowing you to see, and hear, what is going on when you are not around.

Up until now, all the Nanny Cams did not have an audio feature. You had to buy an audio recorder to hear what was said.

This Covert Alarm Clock Radio Hidden Camera And DVR With Audio records clear video with audio, and looks like a normal clock radio you would see in a home or office. The video is clear, as is the audio. Check out this sample video we made.

That’s a 15 fps clip, so you only get 1/2 the video of a 30 fps file, yet do you really need 30fps? Plus it saves space, as the files are 1/2 as small.

Just plug it in the wall and it will start recording out of the box. You can easily set the time/date, motion activation, frame speed, size, etc. It has masking so you can only detect motion in certain areas like doorways, avoiding things like pets, fans or curtains, which give false motion readings.

It takes up to 32GB SD cards, and it comes with 2GB to get you going. It does have a visible SD card slot on the back edge, and there is one output port on the side used to set it up, or watch video if you don’t have a computer. The battery cover on the bottom is screwed shut also. Otherwise, it’s a normal functioning clock radio that most people would not give a 2nd thought.

The lens is above the time LED, next to a status light and is NOT noticeable. Now the legal stuff; audio recording is restricted or banned in certain places. In some states you have to put up signs that you are recording audio, and it can’t be used in CA unless both parties agree. So call an attorney if you intend to use it in court, otherwise its a great way to see what your nanny, babysitter, house cleaner, kids, spouse, or elderly care giver is doing & saying when you are not there.

This is not intended to be used illegally, just as a monitoring tool. You can identify things that could lead to problems down the road, and we don’t want that, now do we???

The SecureShot Covert Phantom Sony Cube Radio Hidden Camera With DVR Is No More

Sadly, we report that we are unable to get any more of the SecureShot Covert Phantom Sony Cube Radio Hidden Camera With DVR, which has been our best selling hidden camera with built-in DVR. Seems Sony is not making that clock radio anymore, and we are not able to find them anywhere.

If you know of a store carrying them, let us know, and we will buy their stock!

Cat Burglar Robs Catwomen Of Her Jewels

We read about a cat burglar who robbed Julie Newmar, one of the original Catwomen, of $25,000 worth of jewelry.

If you don’t remember, she was in the old Batman television show from the late 1960’s, and in case you forgot what she looks like, check out this pic of her and Batman, who seems very excite to see Julie in her smoking hot Catwomen outfit.

You can stick it outside, near other rocks outside your home or business, and it’s just going to sit there, quite and stealthy; exactly like me! It’s going to sit there for up to one year on the standard battery (3 years with the super-duper battery), and will only record video when the heat activated motion sensor will detect a living thing moving in front of it. A tree branch or tumbleweed won’t set it off, and it only records while there is motion, if you set it for that. Otherwise it will record for 20 solid hours (80 with the super duper battery), though you will have a lot of dead air.

It will record clear 30 fps video @ 355 x 280 resolution, or 640 x 480 @ 1-12fps, and it can take large JPG pictures which work well also for law enforcement. Take out the SD card or plug the thing into a TV or VCR if you ain’t got a computer, and you are watching your movies. Set up time/date through the TV also, as well as all the other controls. It’s super easy to use, and it comes with a remote control; if I can set it up with these mits, you sure can.

There are no infrareds, so it wont’ work in pitch black, though if there is a little light, it will work well with that. The Spy Pen Digital Video Recorder Has The Clearest JPG Photos We Have Ever Seen

We went out with the latest version of the Updated Spy Pen Digital Video Recorder and took a few field surveillance videos & photos. I have to say, this is some of the clearest video and photos we have seen in a hidden video pen.

And they are HUGE 2048 x 1536 photo’s that are 28.44 x 21.33 inches!

Now here is the deal. When taking a photo, it takes about 5 seconds to cycle, so you gotta hold the pen real still. It seems like an eternity, though for these stunning pics, we will wait.

The video records just under 20fps, and while it’s not real-time 30fps, the images are sharp and crisp.

Battery Powered Wall Clock Spy Camera Records For 2 Hours Per Charge

We are bringing in a few battery powered spy cameras, and the recording times are getting better & better. The latest is the Wall Clock Spy Camera With Wireless Remote can record for 120 minutes, is activated by a wireless remote control, and will go up to 3 days in stand-by mode.

We take a normal wall clock that is powered by a AA battery, and put in a camera, battery, and internal DVR with 4GB of memory. We charged up the Wall Clock Spy Camera for 4 hours, and it recorded 3 movies, two that were 50 minutes, and one that was 20 minutes.

All you do is charge it up for 4 hours & turn on the switch & push a button. Set it on the wall in your office or home, and it’s in stand-by mode. Press the button on the wireless remote when you want to start recording.

It will record up to 2 hours of video with sound, including a time/date stamp. When you are finished, push the button on the remote again to stop recording. Then take the included USB cable, plug it in your Mac or PC, and up load the video.

It’s 640 x 480 @ 30 fps, though it appears to be USB 1, so it takes a little while to upload. We will get them to work on that.

5 Solid Hours Of Video Surveillance With The Sleek Sunglasses Hidden Camera Video Recorder

We were skeptical of the 5 hour claim that the Sleek Sunglasses Hidden Camera Video Recorder says it can record for, so we charged her up and let her run.

By cracky, it recorded 4 hours & 48 minutes of very clear 3gp video with audio at almost 30 fps indoors! This is a record, as most if not all of our other Spy products except for the battery powered Organizer purse or Tissue box, or the professional grade SleuthGear Recluse, CubeCam, or SecureShot Battery Powered Hidden Cameras peter out at the 60-80 minute mark.

And the audio was clear with no murps, moans, or sounding like it’s underwater or from Star Wars. We posted two sample movies on our site for you to download.

It recorded all that to the internal 2GB memory. You can use an SD card that will override the internal memory, if you want to take it with you, otherwise use the included USB cable and the built in USB port to download the video to your Mac or PC; it works fine on Apple computers and Quicktime since it’s the 3gp format.

What’s great about the Sleek Sunglasses Hidden Camera Video Recorder is that you can use it to record meetings, trade shows, picnics, family events like birthday parties or anniversaries, or it makes the perfect field surveillance camera for you Coppers or gum shoes.

The on/off button & start button are both on the left side for easy access, and the USB port is on the bottom of the left frame, so its hard to see. There are two status lights, and the record one will be near your left eye, and it blinks blue so you know you are recording. If you are in dark places, the lights could give you away, though like any of these spy cameras, they don’t record that great in dark places.

Raw Video Of The Phantom Dual Camera Hidden Video System Switching From Color To B/W

We found a clip of the Phantom Sony Cube Radio Hidden Camera With DVR showing it switch from color video, to low light b/w, and back to color.

If you need to watch your home or office after it was broken into, or want to be ready for when the inevitable arrives, you want to consider some type of camera that is already hidden inside a consumer item, that has a built in DVR that records to SD cards.
