The A31 has internal rechargeable batteries, which makes this one of the most popular models, as it will run for up to 25 hours of straight recording, up to 140 hours on voice activation mode, and up to 5 months in stand-by.

However, do NOT buy this if you plan on using it 1 or 2x per year as the battery will go bad on you. If you own one of these, or are considering buying one, you need to keep it charged at least weekly or bi-weekly. Do not let it sit for months or it won’t perform for you and it won’t be covered by warranty.
