2 New Smaller Video Spy Watches

We have had a lot of people ask for smaller versions of the DVR Spy Watch, and now we found them. We just added the Sporty Video Spy Watch & the Chronograph Video Watch.

Both of these watches are about 1.75 inches wide, and record clear 640 x 480 video at 29-30 frames a second, with audio. The Sporty Video Spy Watch also takes large 1600 x 1200 JPG photographs. It’s based on one of our best sellers, the Yacht Master Video Spy Watch.

The Chronograph Video Watch also is about 1.75 inches wide, and also records video @ 640 x 480, 29-30 fps. It takes 720 x 480 photo’s.

Both shoot video while you are wearing the watch, pointed at your subject. If you lay it down on a table while sitting & point your watch at your subject, you will get a great shot, as well as just placing your arm across your chest and pretend you are scratching the other arm. If you raise or drop your wrist, you will have to tilt your head to view the video, as it will be rotated a little.

Spark Up Your Video Surveillance With The Disposable Lighter Hidden Spy Camera

The Chinese keep coming up with the craziest stuff to hide cameras in. The latest is in a disposable cigarette lighter called, what else, the Disposable Lighter Hidden Spy Camera.

What looks like an ordinary lighter now carries a high resolution video camera, a megapixel still camera, and a DVR with 4GB of storage. See if you can see the camera lens in this pic of the lighter hidden camera video recorder

What the hell does all this mean??? Well, you can go out with a normal looking lighter and record video with audio, or still photo’s. Videos are nice 640 x 480, though it’s 15 fps, so keep it still. The mic is on the bottom, so if you stand it up, it could muffle the sound. It’s got its time & place for the right Copper or PI.

Its funny that a lot of my clients call and say, "Wendell, they are getting wise to my DVR Spy Pen or DVR Spy Watch, and I need something else that I can record the video to."

Yesterday, one guy who works at a medical facility, called yesterday to give us an update. They orignally called and said they were noticing that the Vicodin was missing, and they wanted to find out who did it. They picked up the Red DVR Spy Pen, which we have for under $20, and he was able to catch the janitor stealing the pills. I asked for a copy and hopefully I can post it later.

And he actually picked up the pen and was looking at it while it was recording! They also caught him spanking the monkey, though I have no desire to see that clip…

What To Do When Your Spy Pen Is Stuck

There are two ways to get a DVR Spy Pen, DVR Spy Watch, Keychain DVR, or almost every other Spy Camera to work if it appears stuck. All except the PI Camstick, since it does not have a reset port. If it has a reset port, this trick works most of the time to get it going again.

Always start with this method first, as it takes care of most problems.

Just make sure it’s the reset port and not the microphone, as you might ruin it! The manual with the product shows the correct location of the reset port. In our example, we use the DVR Spy Pen that has the port below the status light.

There are 3 steps, and we posted pictures and instructions in our FAQ: My Spy Pen Is Stuck

If that does not work, go to the next method, erasing and reformatting the drive. We made a video on how to do it on a PeeCee called: My Spy Camera Is Not Working. We’ll have one up soon on how to do it on a Mac.

If that does not work, it’s dead or defective, and if you got it from us, we warranty it for 1 year & replace it; just call us for an RMA number. We just had one customer who said his battery died on a PI Camstick, 2 days before the one year was over. We sent him his new one, no questions asked. Everything we have is guaranteed for at least one year, or longer if the manufacturer will cover that time. We’ll also give you lifetime toll free tech support @ 877-3-EYESPY, and even if you didn’t get it from us, we will do our best to help you get your spy pen up & running.

How Do I Find The Videos On My Spy Camera?

We have people call us from time to time who are not computer geeks, and prefer to stay that way. Sometimes they just can’t seem to find where exactly are the videos on their Spy Pen Digital Video Recorder, DVR Spy Watch, or PI Camstick.

The Round DVR Spy Watch Is Smaller And Thinner

We have had some complaints about our best DVR Spy Watch, in that it’s too big! Now granted, you are squeezing a digital camera, digital video recorder, microphone, battery, circuit board, and 4GB of memory into a functional watch, so it is what is is.

However, we just received a new version that has a round face, and is thinner and will suite the people that don’t want a large video spy watch.

The MP4 Video Watch Is The Bomb

We found this cool MP4 DVR Watch that has a huge 2″ video screen, has a built in camera for huge JPG photographs, or 640 x 480 video with audio, and plays MP3 files and ebooks!

This is a digital video recorder that you wear on your wrist. It’s a HUGE watch, and we love it! It has so many functions, you just might fall in love with this video watch like we did.

We quickly were up and running, recording video and photographs right away. We found the initial settings too light, so when we decreased the brightness, we took very good photo’s. The video records in 3 sizes, up to 640 x 480, and we recorded 90 minutes of video @ 355 x 240 resolution.

The MP4 video camera hooks up to a Apple computer, or regular PC through the supplied USB cord, and we easily downloaded the videos and photo’s.

The Ladies Video Spy Watch

We recently added a number of DVR Spy Watches, and it’s been tough to find one for the ladies. We found the first of two, and the Ladies Video Spy Watch is a great way for you lady spy’s to perform field surveillance with a stylish women’s watch with 24 rhinestones and a faux alligator band.

The ladies video spy watch is easy to use after you charge it for 3 hours. One button turns the watch on, and it will start recording in about 3 seconds. It won’t show any lights while it’s recording, so it’s completely convert. The video is 355 x 280 @ 15 fps, and the audio is clear. Obviously 15 frames is 1/2 of 30 frames per second, which is real time. So you will have some dropped frames.

When you are finished, push the ON button again to turn it off and the light will blink 3x. After that, you can upload the videos to your Apple computer, or PC; it works on both.

Computers Back Up And Reduced Prices On Pocket DVR’s

We recovered from a hard drive failure on our main computer Monday morning, and we wanted to let our customers know that your data was safe & secure and never compromised. I lost a hard drive on my Apple, that had all my email and all my documents.

Just realize your computer could fail at any time. Ours was acting up, then it didn’t want to start; it happend that quick.

We have an Apple computer, and it comes with a free program called Time Machine. It keeps hourly backups for the last 24 hours, daily back ups for a month, and weekly backups until your disc is full.

Our cart and our customer data are on two different secure servers, and we never store credit card info. That is deleted right after your order is placed. So we did not loose any critical data or any of your information.

What we lost was about a month of the most recent documents like templates, word files, and about 2 weeks of mail, since a lot of it was on the server.

So with very little downtime, we really didn’t loose that much, though imagine if you did not back up for 3-6 months, or 1-2 years. I bet some of your have NEVER though of making a back up of your computer’s hard drive.

What would you do? What if you never backed up and you lost it all? I would freak out. I got a little excited when I realized my computer would not start, and let a cuss word or two slip out, though I quickly realized I can’t cry over spilt milk, and with my Time Machine b/u, I would not loose too much data.

Anyway, just a note to let you know everything is safe & secure.

The Yacht Master Spy Watch Is Apple Compatible!

We just received another DVR Spy Watch that we call the Yacht Master Video Spy Watch, because that is what is stamped on the dial. Anyway, we did not even bother to check it on our Mac’s. We were about to shoot some better pictures when we figured we should plug it in, and see if it work.

And guess what, it does. YEE HA! Finally us Apple freaks can wear a spy watch.

This is the first digital video watch that we have found that is Apple compatible. We have a few other models coming in this week, & we will launch a new site, DVR Spy Watch shortly.

The DVR Spy Watch Takes Great Movies And Pictures!

We just received our first shipment of the NEW DVR Spy Watch and Man, O Man! What a great product for our PI and Law Enforcement clients, or anyone who just needs to gather video evidence for whatever reason without being noticed.

This watch is a HEFTY metal men’s watch that is really easy to use. The avi video is 640 x 480 @ 30 fps, so it’s nice and clear. It’s not HD video, though for a tiny pinhole camera, it’s awesome. The audio is clear with no "murps" like the Sexy Black DVR Spy Pen. However, if you are near noise, like traffic, or a stereo, or whatever, the noise will overpower the audio.

And with the push of the ON/OFF button 3 quick times, you go to photograph mode, where you can take very nice 640 x 480 jpg pictures. Exit the same way to go back to movie mode.

And this is all just awesome, except it will NOT work on my Apple computer. ;0(

You will have to go our and buy a cheap Pee Cee, or find a way to transfer the videos to a flash disk, then you can at least play them on the Mac. Otherwise the files work in Windows Media Player, VLC Media player, and KM Player.

We went out a shot a ton of movies and still pictures and posted them on the product page. We also cleaned up the Pocket DVR section, and made new categories for the varieties of our top sellers, so check it out.
