Just realize the recording part does not have a built-in camera like the AC adapter hidden camera, which is a fully self contained unit.

I have a ton of cables on my desk, and many are wedged in between 2 tables so I can keep a few inches above the desk, and the other end goes to a power strip or battery b/u and I never see the other end. So now you can just add another innocent looking power plug sticking up behind a desk, or pointing up from the ground, and plug the other end into a power supply, which also contains the optional SD cars that record the video.

When you want to go check out your video, pull the plug out of the socket, press on the card to release it, and use the included SD card reader to view your video on a Mac or PC.

The video is 30fps fluid, real time video, at 640 x 480, and you can use it in 110V or 220V locations, and it comes with a European 2 prong round plug. If you have a different plug in your country, and you have 220V, just use a standard adapter from your country that fits US 110v.

Vivotek VS8801 8 Camera H.264 Video Server

This network server takes up to 8 analog CCTV cameras, digitizes the video stream, and turns them into a Vivotek network camera that you can access anywhere in the world online, on your iPhone, or your iPad! You can use a newer PC to install their free recording and central management software, or if you don’t have one, consider a network video recorder from Vivotek or QNAP to record and access the video.

We just had a customer set up some new Vivotek IP8332 H.264 Outdoor Day & Night Network Bullet Cameras, and had a few old b/w cameras outside that they did not want to replace yet, though were not able to be viewed with the new cameras. The Vivotek VS8801 came to the rescue, and for a little over $100 a camera, can turn old analog cameras into network cameras that can be viewed with the Included Vivotek software, so you can pull them all up at the same time.

The advantage of using a network video recorder over a PC? Since they are what is called an embedded system, like a TiVo, they are immune from the ten hundred million PC virus’s out there, have embedded O/S in ROM, so you don’t have to worry about your drive or O/S becoming infected and possibly destroying your data, draw a fraction of the electricity of a PC, and are the size of an external hard drive enclosure, saving desk space.

Vivotek also makes a 4 camera, and a 1 camera server, though if you have a bunch of cameras, you can put up to 3 of these 8 camera or 4 camera video servers on a rack, giving you 12-24 video servers. Keep adding as many as you need. Also add up to 8 audio channels, and you can hang on to the 20th century for a little while longer

The SmartScouter black opps camera is a motion activated, wild game camera that uses a heat activated, PIR (passive infrared) sensor that will trigger the camera to take photo’s of any animal or human that comes in front of it, day or night.

Veilux Underwater Proof IR LED PTZ Camera

Most outdoor cameras are IP 65 or 66, which can handle water jets, or powerful water jets respectfully. The IP 67 is immersion up to 1 meter, and the IP 68 can go beyond 1 meter up to the manufacturers specifications.

The VP-IR36X has a drop ceiling mount, and there is an optional base that allows for mounting anywhere you want. And I find out we can make this into an network camera also, and we will put that version also. This one is an analog CCTV camera.
