Privacy Is Dead In America

We have been posting about what AT&T was doing for the Executive branch; filtering the Internet for suspicious activity. Also, project ECHELON has been gathering phone, fax, and email broadcasts and monitoring them.

Now a former NSA analyst reports it’s much wider then we ever imagined. Every single thing ever wrote, spoke, faxed, emailed, or text messaged has been captured & cataloged in huge computers somewhere.

Whistleblower: NSA spied on everyone, targeted journalists

Former National Security Agency analyst Russell Tice, who helped expose the NSA’s warrantless wiretapping in December 2005, has now come forward with even more startling allegations. Tice told MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann on Wednesday that the programs that spied on Americans were not only much broader than previously acknowledged but specifically targeted journalists.

“The National Security Agency had access to all Americans’ communications — faxes, phone calls, and their computer communications,” Tice claimed. “It didn’t matter whether you were in Kansas, in the middle of the country, and you never made foreign communications at all. They monitored all communications.”

Tice further explained that “even for the NSA it’s impossible to literally collect all communications. … What was done was sort of an ability to look at the metadata … and ferret that information to determine what communications would ultimately be collected.”

That’s just great to know. First, it records clear video in the H.264 format, which really compresses the video files very small. It records up to 32GB of video to a SD card, and records up to 720 x 480 resolution at @30fps. They are available in NTSC or PAL format for our overseas friends.

Mother Plants Mini Audio Recorder In Childs Teddy Bear To Bust Husband

Here is an interesting story about a women who put a small audio recorder in her child’s Teddy Bear to try and get recordings of her husband.

Custody case tip: Don’t bug kid’s teddy bear

Turns out, Little Bear was nothing more than Big Brother.

An Omaha man has sued his ex-wife after she or someone on her behalf inserted an audio recorder into their 4-year-old daughter’s teddy bear during the couple’s custody battle.

According to the lawsuit, Dianna Divingnzzo or her father planted a listening device inside Little Bear in an effort to lay bare any secrets of Divingnzzo’s ex-husband, William “Duke” Lewton.

The plan backfired, however, when the judge presiding over child custody proceedings refused to hear the recordings. Sarpy County District Judge David Arterburn noted that under Nebraska law, at least one person in a conversation must consent to a recording.

No one – not even the bear – consented in this case.

Luckily a judge threw it out, though did the kid consent to the recordings? That’s the thing with secretly recording audio, at least one of the people need to consent to it, otherwise it’s not admissible in court.

Elder Abuse Runs Rampant In Minnesota Nursing Home

We are really livid to see a group of teenage, punk ass girls abusing elderly people at an assisted living centers in Minnesota. And it’s not one or two, it’s six girls all under 20.

All I can say is I hope they put them in jail for the maximum penalty to teach them a lesson, and let them get their just deserts as elderly abusers from the other prisoners.

We have worked with several assisted living centers to set up camera systems for the patients rooms.

There are many ways to hide a camera, and the most popular is to use something like a fire strobe hidden camera that also has room for an amplified microphone. Now you can see and hear what is going on.

We have a couple dozen hidden cameras that are wired or wireless. Both will require a digital video recorder to digitize and record the video, and are the best way to cover multiple rooms, as you can have as many cameras as you need.

We have Casino grade DVR’s that can take up to 256 cameras, though 8 or 16 channel dvr’s are usually sufficient for small to medium sized assisted care facility, and 16-32 cameras are for larger facilities.

Another good choice to if your parent is in one of these facilities is a self contained unit that you can put in their room, unnoticed. The has a hidden camera that records to an internal SD card. Our favorites is the SecureShot Covert Cube Clock Radio Hidden Camera DVR.

The SecureShot Covert Cube Clock Radio Hidden Camera DVR is a working clock radio that has a hidden camera & DVR inside. This particular one does not have anything on the outside to make you think it’s a camera. The old versions had lights, slots and holes on the back side, and if anyone picked it up, they would know right away.

With the SecureShot Covert Cube Clock Radio Hidden Camera DVR, you just bring it in, plug it in, and it appears to be a regular alarm clock.

Now, use the remote control to “Set it”, and walk away. You can set it only record when their is motion, so you are not recording dead air, and one has a low light feature that records at night. Come back later, swap out the SD cards, and review the video at home. Burn it to DVD or CD for the police if anything is going on.

The Worlds First Apple Computer Compatible Digital Voice Recorder

We found a new digital audio recorder that is completely Apple Computer compatible, and delivers great quality voice recordings.
