    DVRSpyPen.com On The Prowl

    Monday, March 30th, 2009

We launched a new site specifically for the DVR Spy Pen called, what else, DVRSpyPen.com. We were extremely surprised the URL was still available. It’s one of our top sellers, and it showcases all 3 versions of the Spy Pen Digital Recorder that we carry.

It’s up and running, and it will be full of every bit of information we come across on the Digital Video Pen Recorders.

And we were doing a test of the new version of the original Spy Pen Digital Video Recorder and we found out the audio sounds much better. We did not hear any robotic noises in the samples we ran, so you can hear what the people are saying.

And for this week, we will knock 23% off the price of the Spy Pen Digital Video Recorder and get it down to a hundred bucks. $100 dollars for a clear video camcorder with audio stuck inside an innocent pen. Mention coupon code SPY23 to get the discount, otherwise you have to pay full price.

    What are you waiting for???

Setting up a Surveillance system questions?

    Wednesday, March 25th, 2009
    dave49310 asked:

I run my own business, I’d like to set up some cameras. Are there any laws regarding this other than the “you may be under surveillance” decals.

Another question, as far as installing systems for other business, is there a way to skirt the law as far as not having this license and that license, basically setting them up and having the customer be the installer by plugging the main power supply in?

I’m just a small business looking for more opportunities to make a buck.

If I can’t skirt the law that way, letting the customer install it, what are the current requirements for being a security system installer in Montana?

Lots Of Pictures And Videos Of The mAVR – The Worlds Smallest Micro DVR

    Tuesday, March 24th, 2009

We just upgraded our online store, and after 48 hours of not being able to buy anything, and ripping all of our hair and eyebrows out, we think it’s settled down and orders are coming in again. We are of the sort that would rather not change anything if its not broken, regarding our online store because if we go down, well, that’s not a good thing.

So we are in the middle of adding tons of new pictures of products, the latest product reviews, as well as operational and opening videos of the products that we love to post on YouTube.

The first one we will work on is new pictures and posted videos of the Professional Grade Micro Audio and H.264 Video Digital Recorder or mAVR, the worlds smallest 1 channel digital video recorder.

Professional Grade Micro Audio and H.264 Video Digital Recorder
Professional Grade Micro Audio and H.264 Video Digital Recorder

We put up about 16 photo’s of the product and the packaging on the mAVR . They all link to larger pictures. We also took some videos of the built-in camera indoors and outdoors, as well as hooking up a external bullet camera and mounted it pointing down from a 2nd story balcony.

The video file sizes of the H.264 files are really small. Compared to the Business Portable Recorder, a spy pen video recorder that records 640 x 480 video @ 29 fps, the size savings are incredible.

    Business Portable Recorder file size:
22 second .avi video is 12.5MB
12 second .avi video is 6.8MB
6 second .avi video is 3.6MB

    mAVR H.264 file size:
    36 second H.264 video is 5MB
    13 second H.264 video is 1.8MB
    9 second H.264 video is 1.3MB

We will write a review article of the mAVR and go over the advantages and disadvantages, and after going through the product, we really don’t see any negatives. Truly the only negative we see in the mAVR Micro DVR recorder is that it won’t power an external camera like some larger DVR’s, you need to power your button camera for body worn applications with an external battery pack.

However, when you can supply 110v power to the Professional Grade Micro Audio and H.264 Video Digital Recorder, it will power an external camera for remote surveillance needs where you don’t have a lot of room, yet need to get good clear images for future needs.

It has two internal microphones for super clear sound, and you can add an external microphone.

Find out more information on the mAVR Professional Grade Micro Audio and H.264 Video Digital Recorder on our online Spy & Surveillance Superstore and we will post the YouTube video in the next couple days.

Who else can use a tiny, micro DVR recorder for undercover work?

New Pictures And Videos From The Wild View Outdoor Motion Detection Camera

    Saturday, March 21st, 2009

We posted a ton of pics & videos of the Wild View Waterproof Outdoor Megapixel Motion Detection Camera on it’s page. It works awesome at night to catch criminals or animals depending on what you want to film. If you have animals strolling in your backyard, this camera can last up to 3 weeks on motion detection, or you can run a power line to film 24/7.

The high power infrared’s really work well at night. They do show red, though not bright, just red. However, they light up the night with invisible infrared technology that captures great pictures. Game preserves are also great places for these, as well as National or public parks.

You could also set one up in a back lot or behind your business for another layer of video surveillance because if the punks cut your power lines and start stealing the copper or anything else, you better have a battery back-up on your video surveillance system, otherwise you will be like this church here and they lost their feed when the tweakers did steal the copper wire.

We ALWAYS suggest some type of battery back-up or extra battery powered camera to augment any video surveillance system.

Anyway, get the popcorn out and enjoy the movies! If you want to create your own home movies with the Wild View Waterproof Outdoor Megapixel Motion Detection Camera, and you are one of the next 5 people who get one, we will knock 15 percent off the price when you enter the discount coupon code: WILD when you check-out…

New Video On The Wild View Outdoor Megapixel Motion Detection Camera

    Friday, March 20th, 2009

We posted a new video over on YouTube with our Wild View Waterproof Outdoor Megapixel Motion Detection Camera. Besides making the videos, I am enjoying picking the music we use for the intro & exit. This camera works great if you need to perform video surveillance in an area that has no electricity, or you want to watch nature.

The Wildview camera has an internal battery that will last up 3 weeks in motion detection mode if there is light movement. You can also have a 2nd battery to swap out. I always keep a 2nd battery for all my cameras, as you never know when it will die.

It has an 8 megapixel lens that produces huge pictures, in color during the day, or b/w at night. It also records video at 30fps in 320 x 240 size. What really makes this camera stand out is the infrared’s. They will light up a picture in complete darkness as the samples we post will show. They are not 95mn Infrared’s and invisible, they are red LED’s that only glow red. You if you trip the motion at night, you will see the little red lights.

It’s completely waterproof and has 16MB of internal memory, with the capability to add a SD card also. Watch the videos on your PC or a TV. If you have a lot of wildlife around your home, you need to watch a back-lot on your home or business, or just need a new toy, and special offer just for you, visit our online Spy & Surveillance Superstore and until Sunday night and find a special offer just for you.

Take 15% off the price of the Wild View Waterproof Outdoor Megapixel Motion Detection Camera by entering coupon code: WILD when you check out.

Video Snaps Pics Of Female Drunks Stealing $432 Of Vodka!

    Thursday, March 19th, 2009

What are called the best surveillance photo’s ever by law enforcement, 3 clear pictures of the 3 gals who love their vodka so much, they want it for FREE! Imagine that…

Excellent’ surveillance snaps 3 accused of stealing $432 in vodka

Alachua County Sheriff’s deputies are confident that the best surveillance photos many had ever seen will help them quickly identify three suspects in a liquor store theft.

Three women carrying canvas shoulder bags walked into the Liquor & Wine Shoppe at 14451 W. Newberry Road in Jonesville at 8:40 p.m. Monday and went directly to the vodka section in the back of the store.

Sheriff’s spokesman Lt. Steve Maynard said it later became apparent that the women took a total of 12 of the 1.75 liter bottles of Absolut vodka – worth a combined $432 – off the shelves and put them into their shoulder bags.

    And this at the end;

“The surveillance photos we got of these three are excellent – better than most banks in this area,” Maynard said. “If we could get all businesses to get a surveillance system this good we would probably have a lot fewer crimes. These photos were sharp and clear and somebody will recognize these women from these photos.”

You heard it from the Lieutenant; For quality pictures like this, you need a high resolution color camera. Cheap $99 cameras give you terrible video. Spending a few hundred dollars on a professional grade camera will really pay off with high quality video for law enforcement.

What kind of video cameras do you have in your store or warehouse? Can you see peoples faces, or is it a fuzzy blob? That will make it hard for law enforcement. This also applies to home owners. You can get a $200 set up on ebay or Amazon, but will it record decent video? The answer is no!

High resolution cameras are worth the extra few dollars, and if you are either looking to upgrade a current video surveillance system, or install one for the first time, visit our Spy & Surveillance SuperStore to find out more information on our line of Pro Security Cameras.

If you are one of the first ten people who head over and pick up any of our pro security cameras, we will give you $55.00 off your order when you enter coupon code: PRO-CAMERA. There are only 10 of these, so don’t wait too long if you are considering a good quality camera.

    Victim or Victor?

    Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

I was sent a link to a short video from Lee Milteer, who I follow as she helps you to focus on the positive, eliminate the negative, and have fun on the journey of life.

It’s only 3 minutes, and it talks about just saying “NO” to the recession. Life is like an ocean tide, it comes in and comes out. The cycle never changes. We have our good times and we have our bad, though it’s going to change. This won’t last forever and its up to us to start making the changes to do that.

I started with the boob tube; i terminated the satellite tv and only rent movies. I avoid the negative really need our products.

So enjoy this 3 minute clip and let it brighten your day…

What is a good surveillance camera, are any wireless?

    Saturday, March 14th, 2009
    Rachel L asked:

I own a quick service restaurant and have a terrible survellience camera system. I can barely tell which employee is which! I do not know anything about how the current ones are wired and I barely know how to check them. I would love any suggestions you have on What system (under 2k hopefully!) would work. Are there any wireless cameras that work well and stream good video? I would probably need 4-6 cameras.

    THANKS
