UK Drivers Will Pay A Tax For Every Mile They Drive!

    Wednesday, August 20th, 2008

In what could be the norm here in the USA, the motorists in the UK could have a black box attached to their car to record all the miles they drive so they can change them.

‘Spy-in-the-sky’ paves way for road pricing
Motorists are being warned they may face “pay as you drive” road taxes as ministers launch the first ever trials of a scheme that could see them charged for every mile they drive.

A prototype road-pricing device: the scheme involves a satellite tracking a vehicle’s movements. Motorists will then receive a bill for their time on the road.

The Telegraph can disclose that the Government is pushing ahead with plans for a national road-pricing scheme, including testing “spy in the sky” technology.

Eight areas of the country have been selected by ministers for secret pay-per-mile trials which will begin in 2010 and are expected to pave the way for tolls on motorways.

Motorists face paying up to £1.30 a mile during peak periods on the busiest roads.

I don’t understand why the UK is trying so hard to turn themselves into something right out of George Orwell’s scary book, 1984. While the people who live there tolerate this is beyond me.

Would that piss you off if they tried to pull that crap here in the USA? Comments?

Spy Cam @ Walmart Set Up To Capture Credit Card #’s

    Monday, August 18th, 2008

In a brazen act of theft of personal information, some punk had the balls to put a taped up box with an antenna on a counter at a Walmart in Orlando, FL. Why is it that all the incredible crime and theft stories come from Florida???

Spy Cam In Wal-Mart Set To Beam Credit Card Numbers To Thieves
Camera In Place For Hour Before Being Noticed

A mysterious box with an antenna found hidden inside a Wal-Mart was a planted spy camera set up to beam customer credit card numbers to thieves in the parking lot, police said.

Officers evacuated the Wal-Mart store located on Turkey Lake Road near Sand Lake Road Thursday night after someone noticed the box wrapped in black tape near a counter.

The bomb squad was called to the store and no explosives were found.

When officers investigated the box, they found it contained a spy camera set to capture credit card numbers as people used them inside the business.

You think the morons could be a little more discrete, instead of putting up some box wrapped in electricians tape with an antenna sticking out of it??? They do get a nod for the sheer audacity of their scheme, and their technical ability to hook up a mini camera and a wireless transmitter and battery pack, though you think they could have used something a little more clever?

This just goes to show you that you need certain things with you when you go out in public. You need good self defense products like a keychain pepper spray to have with you to stop an attacker. You also need some type of hidden camera detector because you never know when someone is watching you.

Our favorite hidden camera detector is the LensFinder Dual Mode Hidden Camera Detector. The LensFinder takes two hidden camera technologies and puts them into one small and easy to use device that will protect your privacy.

    LensFinder Hidden Bug Detector

The LensFinder is small enough to keep in your pocket and combines the features of two different products so you don’t have to lug them around. The LensFinder is a great wireless camera or bug detector. Once you turn on the Lens Finder, it will scan the airwaves for hidden video cameras or wireless microphone bugs. Once one is detected, it will start vibrating and the lighted signal will go from 1 to 4 lights depending on where the source is, so you can zero in on what you are looking for.

Then, you can look for any hidden camera, wired or wireless through the camera lens scanning window. It shines 4 bright LED’s at what you are looking at (Don’t look at them or they will scorch your eyes!), and if there is a camera lens pointing at you, you will see the flashing LED’s which will give away it’s location.

With the Lens Finder, you can turn it on, and if there was a black box next to you filming your credit card numbers, it would vibrate like crazy and the led indicator ligths would go off. You will never reveal your personal information to a hidden camera.

Protect your privacy with the LensFinder RF Dual Mode Hidden Camera Detector. Use this discount coupon code: MS9S7Q3TSV08 when you check out to receive a $20 discount that is good until this Friday, August 22nd at midnight.
